Increased demand with unchanged supply = higher prices. The extended credits are driving prices up. With democrats controlling the house I don't think anyone is betting on this bill not being signed into law.

Article was from a couple weeks ago. Agree it's not well written but you can order a base Maverick for $20995 right now. Sure the Maverick is cheaper, but it's not seeing the same price hikes. It's crazy to think that the manufacturers aren't pricing the rebates into their vehicles.

This isn't the same market we had a year ago. The 2023 Maverick pricing was just released and the XLT base price only increased by $80. A loaded Lariat is about $1k more. This is absolutely in response to the tax credits. Watch GM walk back their bolt price reduction too...

I think rolling resistance (tires) plays a part as well. I am going to find out when I mount a set of stock GT tires on the GTPE rims.

In my opinion, the charging speed of the Bolt is prohibitive for longer trips. You are going to be miserable charging at 50kw. The SR MachE isn't fast, but it will be 50-100% faster. Every time I see a Bolt at EA, the owner is either reclined sleeping with a pillow and blanket, or reclined...

Lighter colors are worse generally. White is awful for attracting birds.
