I hear ya. When I proposed getting the KW coil overs while on sale she was not assumed. I'm hoping she'll be more amenable to sway bars! Sounds like they're making big difference... (I have found running at ~45 psi front and rear seems to help the ride a surprising amount.)
I knew you'd say that! When you were in line at the bank, do you recall hearing any clicks or other noises from the car when (or right before) it happened?
Damn Todd, so sorry to hear you got Covid too. I hope the Paxlovid helps and I'm glad to hear that Kaiser gave it to you without issue. (I'm with Kaiser too but haven't yet had Covid, so I've not had to try to get it.)
As others I'm impressed with your remote camera setup. What are you using...
I got the recall update at the dealership a couple days after the s/w was released. (I informed the service manager that it was released 🙃 )
Have you tried that route?
I'm glad that the safety features prevented injury! That's good to know.
It would also be good to know what your miles per kWh are so we'll know where the issue lies...
Mazda Miata for my wife so she can replace her 1997 that she loves so much... (Yes, @dtbaker61, I know about your e-Miata and I'm insanely jealous, but haven't found one like it and haven't found a reasonable conversion option.)
Sorry to hear that. Have you taken it into a dealership for service? What year is your car? A friend with a Job 2 2021 GTPE had something similar and it needed a module or two updated. The dealership was able to resolve it quickly. Good luck.
Me too. Seriously. I'm retired and would be happy to help if I can. (Mind you I still have the extra mild burrito of an HVBJB, so who know how fast I'll be able to respond!)
+1 on someone who has recently started experiencing this. It's happened a couple times in reverse (also backing out of my garage). I think shadows must have confused the car. But then recently I was driving down the street and the Collision Assistance system falsely detected an imminent...
So I filled my tires to 45 psi. This was in cool San Francisco (probably about 65º at the time). Wed-Fri I was past Sacramento where the temps were in the 90's and the tire psi's got up in to the high 40's. I'm running stock Conti's on my GT. Any idea how much is too much?
I will say that I...
Have fun at Safari West! If you're spending the night, the tent cabins up on the hill should be quieter than the ones down by all the animals (humans and otherwise). Say hi to the baby giraffe (it was born last Oct on the day we arrived).
Good to know, though realistically I don't think I can find any long sustained high-speed hills without needing to DCFC to get there... While SF certainly has hills (I live on a 25% grade), you can't drive them at high speeds, nor for long distances.
Damn. Thank goodness for family!
I've been toying with the idea of taking the car on a good long hard drive with HVBJB-killer hills and DCFC charging stops......but without my wife. I figure it will either kill the HVBJB or if it doesn't maybe, just maybe, it'll mean my HVBJB is (somewhat)...
If you send similar to any other dealerships, I recommend you forego the last paragraph. It isn't needed and gives them info that could make them less likely to want to do business with you. Good luck!
