  1. Mach-E Waiting Room. Check in with your reservation number!

When you reserve you pick the dealer from a list of EV certified dealers near you. (or at least on track to be) Probably is listed other places too.
  2. Mach-E Waiting Room. Check in with your reservation number!

Probably, but you are also assuming they have no gaps in the reservation numbers. That is a big assumption that I would not make.
  3. Mach-E Waiting Room. Check in with your reservation number!

I would assume so, or how would they do maintenance on them... but I don't think they are required until the end of the year, if not by the time they receive their first vehicle. I know my small town dealer in Michigan didn't install any either, but he did mention they are installing 3 before...
  4. Mach-E Waiting Room. Check in with your reservation number!

I seen ads for it today while surfing around. Doesn't seem like they would be advertising it if they stopped taking reserves... That said, placement on the main page seems to have changed, so probably jub whatever web team updating pages might of had it blocked temporarily.
  5. Coronavirus impact

To put it in perspective, if we look at heart disease and cancer (top 2 causes of death, or about 50%, stats from 2010) in the US, combined they average over 3,200 deaths / day in the US. Personally, I don't think this will be completely contained, and all we are doing is making it last longer...
  6. Lincoln's new EV based on the Rivian skateboard platform will be built in Mexico

Yes, but I figured that would fall under their 1000/month, or do you expect that to have more sales?
  7. Lincoln's new EV based on the Rivian skateboard platform will be built in Mexico

The 60/40 is more for 2020 sales to meet their quota, it will depend more on what the market does for what sells in 2021, and I think based on the reservations they are expecting it closer to 50/50 even if they would like to be 60/40... That said, you are right, not all 50,000 will be counted...
  8. Lincoln's new EV based on the Rivian skateboard platform will be built in Mexico

So 50,000 for the Mach E 2021 model year, and 1,000 * 24 months of other vehicles... The Q4 2021 for 2022 models should be good for the full discount....
  9. Lincoln's new EV based on the Rivian skateboard platform will be built in Mexico

Does anyone have newer numbers for Ford than https://evadoption.com/ev-sales/federal-ev-tax-credit-phase-out-tracker-by-automaker/ ?
  10. Lincoln's new EV based on the Rivian skateboard platform will be built in Mexico

Yeah, it will be close at best, but I suspect Ford is gaming the system so a bunch of new qualifying models (2022) get released that same quarter.... (it doesn't change mid quarter) If not, then it would probably at least qualify for the phase-out with 50% or $3750.
  11. Lincoln's new EV based on the Rivian skateboard platform will be built in Mexico

Might be a fall back option if not happy with the Mach E once can do a test drive. That said, there are many new EV vehicles coming out for 2022 (and 2023-2025) model years... Saying that price and specs unseen.... Mach E definitely has the timing advantage...
  12. Is the Mach-E really 7 years behind Tesla?

Same reasons, but not the same effects. Items such as heat pump can impact the effects, and so model Y is expected to do better than the model 3 in cold weather. Other items can be done to make the effects different per vehicle which is why you need a real world independent tests and not make...
  13. What is this in the frunk?

I tend to agree, but I think their point was that it is a sealed lid and not just a car hood...
  14. What is this in the frunk?

It should be a possible after market mod.... although heat would be a significant risk for enclosed space....
  15. First Production Mach-E Model? [Update: This Is First Assembly Line Made Pre-Production Unit]

I enlarged the picture and it's too low-res to make out the logo clearly. It looks like it definitely has the X and probably the 4 also, and that the wheels (hubcaps/fenders) are not finished. Most of the images of preprod non machE4 X vehicles don't even have a logo, and I can't even seem to...
  16. Is the Mach-E really 7 years behind Tesla?

On the contrary, I expect the fee to be lower than the typical price for gas since it's a lot easier to have charging on the parking lot than to have a gas pump on the parking lot, or requiring a third person to take the vehicle off site to get fuel.
  17. Is the Mach-e really in the same market as the 3 or the Y?

It will cannibalize the sales of the 3, but it's normal for new models to cannibalize sales of old models. Just can't be surprised when sales of the 3 fall off... You want your products to compete with themself and not some other manufacturer to cannibalize your market. The only time it's a...
  18. Is the Mach-e really in the same market as the 3 or the Y?

They were very wise to produce the 3 before the Y. They have been supply constrained at the start, and now Tesla has people who can get their Model 3 into the used market and purchase a Model Y. Would be far less people interested in trading a Y in for a 3... This also let them improve their...
  19. Why Tesla's Direct approach to sales will fail

Perhaps I am lucky, or maybe it's the part of the country I am in, but so far I have had only good luck with new car dealerships. Used car dealers are more of a mixed bag... In this day it's a lot easier to get online reviews and ratings from several different places and to avoid a bad dealer...

    Yes, what's your point?
