Thanks! So, bottom line - any guess as to impact on MME delivery schedule?
  2. Coronavirus impact

  3. Coronavirus impact

Thanks for the update and information!
  4. Coronavirus impact

Anyone hear anything about coronavirus impact? I have read that Ford has suspended all travel for its employees. Wondering at what point this would impact timing for production and delivery of Mach E?
  5. Deciding between a standard or extended range battery

Ah, perhaps. That's fair. Even so, seems to me the practical issue is charge time, which I believe is 38 minutes to 80% and something like 45 miles in 10 minutes, which would still come down to question of how much range you actually need most days and how long a road trip would take. Can't see...
  6. Deciding between a standard or extended range battery

Here is link to Ford spec sheet: https://media.ford.com/content/dam/fordmedia/North%20America/US/product/2021/mach-e/Mustang-Mach-E-Tech-Specs.pdf Since the charge speed is determined by the size of the on-board charger, with faster chargers being more expensive, seems it would make sense the...
  7. Deciding between a standard or extended range battery

From Ford website, that applies to the Select Version (both SR and ER). Configuration in UK may be different; in US all models except Select charge up to 150 kw
  8. Deciding between a standard or extended range battery

The other reason there is no performance difference between AWD ER and AWD SR is they have the same torque. HP and torque don't correlate with electric motors as neatly as they do with gas engines. Size of the electric motor makes a bigger difference than size of the battery, so you will get...
  9. Deciding between a standard or extended range battery

    Thanks! That is helpful.
  10. Deciding between a standard or extended range battery

Just to get back to the original topic of the thread, seems like ER battery is basically an additional $5K for range that would only be needed on longer road trips, and that is about the equivalent of an extra 15 minutes charge time at a DC fast charger. Is that right? My reservation is for AWD...
  11. What questions should we be asking dealers now?

Plenty of time then, even for First Edition reservations :)
  12. What questions should we be asking dealers now?

Great lead - believe X plan pricing is 2% below MSRP + $275. Associate membership in MCA for 1 year is $25 so it's not a huge savings but certainly seems to be worth it. Would be around $1,000 off.
  13. Mustang Mach E GT - Grabber Blue at DC Show

Any other trims on display or just the GT?
  14. Anyone else get the "Nice Choice!" email from Ford? SYNC 4A name revealed.

I have found compatibility issues with Ford's owner site in Chrome. It does seem to work consistently with Microsoft Edge. You may want to try that.
  15. Mach-E Upcoming Auto Show Appearances?

Only the GT version at the Washington Auto Show?
  16. Dual Motor AWD vs RWD Mach-E. What Did You Order?

The AWD is important to mitigate torque steer and wheel spin. Because EV's have instant max torque, EV's without AWD can more easily spin tires at launch, so you will have the fastest launch with AWD; I have often encountered that with my FWD Fusion Energi, need to ease onto the accelerator at...
  17. Are you new to Ford/Mustang?

This will be my 6th consecutive Ford in the family, replacing a Fusion Energi (which replaced a Fusion Hybrid, and on the SUV side we had a Taurus X, Explorer, and now an Edge I expect we will eventually replace with the Escape PHEV). Didn't intend to be Ford-only, but preference for US brand...
  18. Ford brings Mach-E to CES

Is there a list of where the Mach E will be on display? Anyone know if it coming to the Washington Auto Show?
  19. Auto wipers

    Thanks!

Will the Mach E have rain sensing automatic wipers?
