just got notified of 3.6.1 today. July 22 build and no updates since end of Oct (the dc faster charging update). FORD.com inspect trick works to know if you have been "pushed" the update. Looks like the roll out is just slow unless you've get a specific install error.
I hope it is just that it is just a slow role out. Is inspecting the Ford.com vehicle dashboard still the only way to know if Ford has even tried to push it?
still don't think that is how physics works. This would imply you just magically got extra energy more than that which broke open so locked up molecular bonds to let the electrons to flow. Simply can't create it out of nothing. But if you find some scheme where the net trade does in fact work...
Maybe some of the more dedicate members who understand the details of the mach e charging curve could calculate how much time this really can save. I sorta doubt it will be that significant (charging at 45 - 70 vs 80 to 100 on average is my guess). The IONIC has a much larger change (40 to...
The laws of thermodynamics dictate it must be a net loss . This method is a trade of energy for faster charging times. The value depends on how much you value your time.
The release does have a few features that should be quite useful (camera button, knob controlling temp selection, ford nav route planning that does use elevation change). But I don't need any of them. I'd trade the OTAs for a new HVJB that was robust.
Go to the map in the app. Select charging . Find the charger you are at and activate it on the app. You’ll see the station respond and then you plug in.
Yes that is where you enable it. Good luck. Ford pass is inconsistent and it may take the backend a day or so recognize you have the payment method entered.
Definitely on a day to day basis with a Level 2 home charger, no reason to really care. But at some point, we all end up in a situation where we might need to push towards the limits of the range. So, it would really be nice if the Nav / GOM didn't require so much personal calibration to avoid...
