Did you go with the Thinkware U1000? I am wondering if I can attach it to the plastic rear view mirror housing, instead of the windshield? The shape looks like it will be awkward to hide out of the way and still have a good camera image.
I exited the highway after some "spirited" driving, and continued on some winding country roads. I approached a turn and backed off the accelerator, expecting some Regen braking before the turn in. What surprised me was there was little to no Regen realized, and as the outside wheels loaded up...
You can still use your 360 camera for "parking" and such, but won't have BlueCruise if you don't have a subscription. I was led to believe the BlueCruise is $600 for 3 years.
If you are happy with the look and design, there are adhesives that would permanently bond them on. A two part Hysol used on aircraft structures comes to mind.
