Hmm. This is disappointing. I bought CC2's for my Pilot in 2020 (I believe it was a pretty new tire at that point) and I just love them for Minnesota winters.
The way my 3-month-old AWD MME handles in the snow and ice I've been thinking I should replace the stock tires before next winter so I...
This is EXACTLY where I am. Samsung S22 plus.
Although they updated the fordpass app yesterday (4.23.1) so I should try Paak setup again. Yesterday's update at least allows me to access departure times again.
Not sure if I should resurrect this old thread or start a new one, but either way I wanted to give a little visibility to the fact that this has not changed for the 2022 tax year.
H&R Block tax software does not currently support form 8911. Form 8911 allows you to file for a 30% tax credit (up...
I looked last night at H&R Block website and saw that they don't support 8911 as of now. I'll be contacting them today to see if we can get that moving.
I'd rather not switch to someone else, but I'm not leaving hundreds of dollars on the table.
Do any tax experts want to chime in on if I can take this credit on my 2022 taxes or if I have to wait for 2023 taxes?
I had the charger installed in December. Paid for the charger in December, electrician work was done in December, but I received the bill from the electrician in 2023 and paid...
Thanks. I forgot you mentioned it charges before it can heat at 120V. My starting charge level of 90% is down to 85% when I get to work, so yeah, I could set it to 85% or so here at work.
I know it's not the heaviest box, and that 120 cord does seat in the charger very nicely. But I agree...
There are a handful of 120V outlets available at my work for EVs. The outlets are on posts roughly 3 feet off the ground.
The outlets are unused every day. I was thinking I should plug in at work to try and keep the battery warm as I live in a cold climate. Especially after reading the...
I haven't been able to set departure times in the app for over a week as well.
In the past I force stopped the app and then it worked. But even that won't allow me to access/modify departure times now.
I'm on Android, Samsung S22 plus.
This morning the outside temp was -3F. Garage temp is 29F, and car is in the garage.
I had a departure time set and to set the cabin to warm. My Emporia charger used 8.49 kWh in 1 hour and 4 minutes.
Edit: I should state I didn't end up driving this morning, so that 1 hour and 4 minutes...
I completely agree. But doing something due to common sense isn't always correct - or necessary - which is why I started the topic.
Just hoping to learn something on my end.
Thanks for the reply.
Can you point me to any further reading on this?
Ford does not say one word (that I could find) that says preconditioning a cold battery will extend the life of the battery. But I do want to more fully understand why it would/would not have long term benefits - hence the...
Shayne - Thanks for the reply, but that TLC list from Ford does not address what I was asking.
Right above number 1... "we wanted to give you a few tips to maximize your range as winter sets in."
I was asking about any long-term battery benefits to preconditioning - or long-term detriments...
Thanks for the replies. I posed the same question to my dealer and heard back from them just a bit ago...
"I did check, and I am told that it will not help the battery long-term, only create a longer range each day, which does not seem to the concern as you do not drive that far."
