it's not just a matter of the overall surface area, but specifically the vertical dimension. The fact that the map is so squashed vertically makes the turns hard to see, and every little bit more vertical space would help with that.
1. you have just shown why more vertical space would benefit the large layout. it would make the map a lot easier to see.
2. i have confidence that apple is going to greatly improve the carplay UI for larger screens.
no, I never said that. I am just stating my preference, as you are. obviously having an option would be ideal, but unfortunately Ford doesn't appear to be heading in the "more options" direction.
I understand what you want, I just don't want the same thing. I have no interest in watching tire pressure or trip data, or anything like that (and if I did I'd want it on the instrument cluster, not at the bottom of the center screen).
For me the issue very much is the size of the tiles. for...
also a wallbox owner and I agree the app is pretty wonky. Wifi reception is also a bit wonky.
But, once I got it finally set up how I wanted it has been pretty hands off.
I was disagreeing with the characterization that we aren't looking at "the big picture". Of course different people care about different things (rightly or wrongly), but if you're only worried about your own finances, you're objectively not looking at the big picture.
the whole point of this is to use mag safe, so sliding around out of the “sweet spot” will not be an issue anymore regardless of the surface material/texture.
please someone do this!
I'd like to see this study redone while adding externalized fuel costs. Sure, maybe in some cases gas is cheaper if you offload the emissions cleanup etc on everyone else.
