Just another data point, but I've successfully charged without issues at the newish Kettleman City CA EA location along I-5 with 10 of their new charger design without any problems using plug and charge.
Yes it is weird, but Ford's OTA update system isn't exactly like updating your iPhone (yet?)
They push OTAs by VIN number or batch, and you have to get one sequence of updates before you become eligible for the next "PowerUp" number. Ford's OTAs -- as well as FDRS -- seem to reqiure modules...
I think if you did a couple more of these, and throw in a DCFC in there too back from very low SOC to high SOC, you'll get yourself the toasted HVBJB meal you're looking for.
My take on this is that you should follow your own advice in the title of your post and NOT TRUST THE DEALER to fix the damage they caused.
If you really want to make sure it is fixed properly, you tell the dealer that you are taking it to the body shop of YOUR CHOICE and the dealer will be...

I was alone so couldn't do the latch pull while I manipulated the frunk at the same time -- but, at some point, I pushed on the frunk and it latched...
yes, lots, try searching for lots more folks with same issue.
TLDR: I think it is due to car and phone update issues. I found that deleting the carplay entry in Settings > Phone then repairing solves it permanently.
Ugh! That would be too painful. We would need more snacks for that.
Seems that both these GWM updates before and after the APIM update are just temperamental to get installed.
