It was bound to happen eventually. I’m pretty impressed that it took over 2 years for one to have a fire incident, and this one looks extremely mild compared to most. I can’t think of any other EV that was on sale this long without a fire.

They just relayed what the company told them. Be pedantic if you want. I know Darren Palmer promised it too in some interview or podcast, but I’m not about to waste time hunting for that example. Getting it in writing on Twitter doesn’t seem to be any more of a guarantee it would come.

If this is actually true, I hope they fired the person responsible for writing those update notes because it is absolutely absurd that they add a major feature like that and nobody is aware of it. Also the car should give you some kind of notification that it’s preconditioning.

The fact that they cannot deliver simple features promised 2 years ago like a frunk button for job 1 cars or charging speed displayed in-vehicle does not inspire much confidence that they are going to add something like this.

Our cars don’t suffer from the infamous phantom braking problem that has plagued Tesla Autopilot for years and was probably the culprit of that crash.

My car was built after the windshield recall happened, so I think that it's just faulty hardware that can't handle high and low temps. My issue only happens when its gets very cold, and then its almost a daily occurrence.

The only real improvement they could do to give us more range is unlock more of the (still large) battery buffer, and I’m not holding my breath on that.

Makes absolutely no sense that the Escape is classified as an SUV and the Mach-E isn't. They're basically the same size.

Thanks for the write up and all of these details. It’s an absolute shame that this required a customer to do all of this testing. This is stuff Ford clearly knows and should have communicated to us from day 1 + be in the owners manual.
