Is This A Design Mockup For The Next-Gen Mustang Mach-E?

Reminds me of the car the Mach-E was before it was changed to a mustang. The rear is obviously different though.

    Mach-E catches fire on highway

It was bound to happen eventually. I’m pretty impressed that it took over 2 years for one to have a fire incident, and this one looks extremely mild compared to most. I can’t think of any other EV that was on sale this long without a fire.

    DCFC preconditioning is it coming????

It was an iOS 15 update and also required the 2.3.0 PowerUp.

    DCFC preconditioning is it coming????

Its just laughable how bad the update details are. Many of the best improvements we've received, like CarPlay EV routing, better charging >80%, and now this have gone completely unannounced in the update notes. Not to mention the disservice it is doing to the <99% of customers who aren't active...

    DCFC preconditioning is it coming????

They just relayed what the company told them. Be pedantic if you want. I know Darren Palmer promised it too in some interview or podcast, but I’m not about to waste time hunting for that example. Getting it in writing on Twitter doesn’t seem to be any more of a guarantee it would come.

    DCFC preconditioning is it coming????

Still officially promised by the company. Also an extremely basic feature that every non Ford EV has.

    DCFC preconditioning is it coming????

10:30 in this video is where I saw it.

    DCFC preconditioning is it coming????

If this is actually true, I hope they fired the person responsible for writing those update notes because it is absolutely absurd that they add a major feature like that and nobody is aware of it. Also the car should give you some kind of notification that it’s preconditioning.

    DCFC preconditioning is it coming????

The fact that they cannot deliver simple features promised 2 years ago like a frunk button for job 1 cars or charging speed displayed in-vehicle does not inspire much confidence that they are going to add something like this.

    Bluecruise Tesla accident

Our cars don’t suffer from the infamous phantom braking problem that has plagued Tesla Autopilot for years and was probably the culprit of that crash.

Center Display Screen failed - again

My car was built after the windshield recall happened, so I think that it's just faulty hardware that can't handle high and low temps. My issue only happens when its gets very cold, and then its almost a daily occurrence.

Center Display Screen failed - again

Yeah it another thing that doesn't reflect well upon Ford. Idk how widespread this screen issue is. It doesn't get anywhere near the levels of discussion that the HVBJB issue does on here. But they are both hardware defects that should have been caught in testing and development or addressed in...

Center Display Screen failed - again

What he's saying is that your first failure was so early that the replacement part has the same defect. My experience corroborates that. My car was built 8 months after yours and is having the same issue. The SSM to fix it didn't come out until June 2022, which means the root cause hardware...

Jim Farley “Winter update to improve range”

The only real improvement they could do to give us more range is unlock more of the (still large) battery buffer, and I’m not holding my breath on that.

4.1.2 OTA pushes to Early Access Mach-E owners

I got the update tonight on a long drive from Chicago to Detroit. When I stopped halfway to charge and power cycled the car, it took effect. So I had a good 30 min to check out everything while the car charged up. Overall I really like the changes. I absolutely love enlarged CarPlay, the...

4.1.2 OTA pushes to Early Access Mach-E owners

It’s nice to see Ford wasted no time rolling this out after everyone got back to the office today.

2023 Mach-E priced over $55K & delivered in 2023 will not qualify for tax credit! Latest IRS ruling says Mach-E is a CAR - not SUV !

Surely Ford understands the implications of this classification and hopefully they will be lobbying hard to get it changed asap. The electric small SUV segment is getting really crowded and really competitive heading into 2023. If they want the Mach-E to keep its strong market share, they...

2023 Mach-E priced over $55K & delivered in 2023 will not qualify for tax credit! Latest IRS ruling says Mach-E is a CAR - not SUV !

Makes absolutely no sense that the Escape is classified as an SUV and the Mach-E isn't. They're basically the same size.

    Mach-Lee's Cold Weather Charging Strategies

Thanks for the write up and all of these details. It’s an absolute shame that this required a customer to do all of this testing. This is stuff Ford clearly knows and should have communicated to us from day 1 + be in the owners manual.
