I would like the rear ambient lights too. My C-Max has them. They were in the renders with the caption (pre-production shown, things may change). It clearly was planned but got scrapped for some reason we don't know about. Could be cost, could be a packaging issue, etc. ¯\_ (ツ)_/¯
They do that because the car wakes up periodically to charge the 12-volt. The idea is that battery replacement "should" be relatively rare as it's an AGM battery and the HVB should be maintaining the LVB.
The recent posts about the LVB dying is because the system is not working as designed...
They could "improve" security by pinning Ford's certificate serial number in the app, refusing connections unless it has that number. This would prevent HTTP catcher from being able to work. But that's rarely used anymore due to usability issues.
The TLDR is, if all the following are true...
With correct authentication, you cannot simply replay each side and get a connection. The whole point of diffie-hellman key exchange is that it can be done with someone watching, and that observer still can't determine the private key.
It's likely that HTTP Catcher is adding its own...
He's raising concerns that the Ford pass app isn't verifying things correctly allowing an app like yours to work.
Also, the company should absolutely be inspecting TLS traffic that passes on its network. They have to protect themselves and using a company asset for personal data is a...
The way that works, is the company puts their public certificate into the trust store of the computer/browser. Without that certificate, the user would see an authentication failure and if they proceeded, then the company would see the data.
Wouldn't work like that because the hotels cert is...
Aww come on. SW is never perfect and what is easy and intuitive for one person is not for another. It's easy for you to say "this is the way it should be". But that may not be the way I think it should be.
Its complicated. Accessibility concerns, performance, reliability, safety, etc all...
Right. So what I'm trying to say, is some people buying a Mach-e (non GT) want it do drive sporty like a Mustang, others want it to be smooth like their luxury car they are used to. Its a matter of finding balance that most people will be happy with....or spending more money on something...
It's not a personal attack. My point was, using the the car schedule or evse in a way to just keep the 12volt battery charge is ridiculous when the car should be taking care of it.
BTW, do you really think that message is saying, you better plug in during cold temperatures or you'll be stranded?
Or... Let Ford fix the 12v issue, and use the car w/o thinking about the LVB. If they fail to fix it and the LVB dies on a regular basis when using the car like its intended, then its bad design and you can either alter your charging behavior, or get a different care.
I don't have off-peak...
