I always keep a fob IN the car. I hide it in there and make sure I lock the car when I exit (it is my habit anyway). Some people also put them in a Faraday bag (I do not). I used to always leave my fob in the car when I would run or bike in similar fashion before the Mach E. That avoids these...

I did not read through all 16 pages to see if someone already mentioned this . . . but GM's announcement of no CarPlay in this vehicle and all their future EV's that they made early this week would be a total dealbreaker for me. Stupid decision to not give that choice by GM.
