Hey Sam, one thing of note that I have run into on a few cars is some play in the lower shock mount. I stated in the parts list to get two 1/2" washers and use them as spacers on either side of the lower mount when running the bolt through the lower control arm. There have been a few members...
Just to reiterate, all three front bars I have installed had very tight bushings around the bar and the bracket was very tight around the bushing. Absolutely no vertical movement at all.
Michael, that is exactly what I tried/meant to say in my earlier post. It is very simple and that is all the Vue app needs to know. My two 200A sensors are right at the main grid feed coming in and that is all that the EV charger needs to charge on excess solar. Thanks for explaining it in...
Ok, I understand a bit more. I have no slop in the bar to bushing or the bushing in the bracket. They are very tight and there is no movement in the bar whatsoever. Maybe the bar can slide a bit horizontally but I certainly cannot move it by hand and if and when it does move while driving...
I am still puzzled why some get this front knocking noise and some don't. My car is dead quiet and I drive it briskly through the mountain roads where I live on a daily basis.
I probably should have explained a little more in detail why my service was fast, which I did in the HVBJB thread a couple of months ago. I purchased my own HVBJB and made an appointment at Serramonte Ford to have it replaced. They were able to take me in right away and it was replaced within...
I have no idea where mine are at nor John's or Anton's that we installed. Did all three in my garage and all the same way and have no idea if they are squared up or not. All I know is we have greased end links and I have no noises of any kind. John and Anton don't have any either however...
I think Lee made a great diagram of your system. I bet that's exactly how it is. If that is the case, it looks like those 200A CT's you had connected originally were ok. It is not a complicated setup so whatever the issues is, has to be simple. I don't understand what we are overlooking. I...
John, I will look at this when I get a chance. I am in the Bay Area taking care of my sister after she had surgery so not on here as much as I normally am. Be back within the hour or so.
I don't even remember anything about squaring up the brackets but then I don't remember reading the instructions. I rarely do unless I run into trouble. Explain a bit more what you mean by that?
I am also not quite sure why you are having issues with the end links or bar. I have not had any...
I'm not sure if I even torqued them down that much. Maybe just close to 20. They are only meant to hold the top of the strut in place but because you are adding a strut bar, the natural tendency is to really torque them down tight. Just don't do that.
When I installed mine back in February, I had to add a few washers as spacers here and there to allow the end plates to sit level. I also used longer bolts as I wanted more of a bite. Do not tighten them down too tight otherwise you will strip out the receptacle nuts in the top of the strut...
You didn't have to remove it to make the EV charger work the way you wanted to. I was only saying it does not have anything to do with allowing the EV charger to charge with excess solar.
The EV charger needs the main 200A sensors hooked up between the grid and your main panel. It does not...
When I had my premium, I use to get this (drive mode not available) and I would reset Sync and it would become available immediately after Sync rebooted. So far, this has never happened to me in my GT
Ok, figured it was. That makes no difference how or even if you have it connected to the Emporia Vue for your EV charger to charge on Excess solar. It all has to do with the two main 200A sensors and that must be where your problem is.
I don't think you should have your main sensors...
