Lol @ the last 10 seconds. 𤪠Assuming that bit of give did not give you trouble then? May have to do this myself because of all things it's the control module sound that seemed closest to the rattle I hear.
Also: Fascinating to see how poor the quality is of those plastic parts. Yikes.
Seems Teslaās iOS app is getting fancy w/ Apple Shortcut capabilities. Wouldnāt mind seeing this supported in FordPass - tons of use cases to automate leaving/arriving home.

Big if true. Very curious to see if this solves the problems described. (I have a persistent vibrating noise that I swear is coming from the sunglass holder area who actually knows.)
Can confirm... used a pressure washer at a reasonable pressure (1000 PSI, blue tip maybe? Nothing I could hurt myself/others with) and water found its way into the car. Left water stains inside and they've been stubborn getting out. I'd just be cautious.
Anecdote of one, but this has been the case with my door buttons since I purchased the car (July ā21.) Iāve just kind of accepted it as a non-fatal but somewhat embarrassing flaw. Not a big deal most days, but in the rain or when youāre trying to move quick, itās pain.
I can assure that none of any of what any company does, ever comes from the āgoodness of their hearts.ā (Not to say we canāt benefit when they do, of course.)
Itās a strategic decision (and apparently a market differentiator) of Ford to show accurate ranges. I appreciate that decision, as it...
Iām interested if this sort of solicitation is common. Itās never crossed my mind that a random dealer would/could reach out about recall work. Most times I canāt get my regular dealer to care much about such stuff.
This is speculation, but perhaps they know they can do this work rather quickly...
Welcome! No such thing as a stupid question. Stupid answers otoh, maybe. Will try to avoid that here. :)
Mechanical differences b/w MY 21/22/23: Very few, in aggregate, (I see the HVBJB has been mentioned) however the offerings in each trim have changed a bit year over year. This is to say, my...
Same. Tight turns like quick pulls into parking spaces/out of the driveway often result in a clunk. Mentioned it during some warranty work but they couldnāt replicate it (skeptical about that) and so it remains. š
Hm - this is super helpful, and your description of who is buying Mach-Eās was pretty accurate (at least for me. š ) I too want better sound, but nothing too intrusive or over the top - sounds like your approach is working.
A few questions..
- I know you donāt have pictures of the subās audio...
I'm one of those the update definitely helped. I'd use PaaK time to time (or accidentally - always fun to learn I don't have my keys but drove for a couple of hour), but never trusted PaaK to actually work. Now, it does, and when it fails, it does so reliably enough that I'm confident I can...
Heh. I have a rattle as well - same MY and trim - in the area of the sunglass holder. Comes around this time of year, tends to disappear in the winter. I suspect this is from something expanding/contracting but I have zero solutions so far. I bang it, press on it, leave the holder open, keep it...
These are awesome!
@Jimrpa Oddly, we got a 5-pack of Matchbox EVs for the kiddos and within a few minutes I heard ādaddy this is your car!ā Itās a yellow one (our Eleanor is red. Psh.) but that was a fun surprise.
Are you referring to Ford's mobile charger? If so, I'd avoid using as a long-term solution. They're known to overheat eventually and while Ford used to replace them under warranty, I'm not sure they still do. (Also, it maxes out at 28 amps. You could likely do better depending on your current...
I can't speak to Android or the specific phone per se, but with an iPhone 13 mini, heat is the reason charging is paused 90% of the time (the other 10% being user error.) I wonder if the heat from charging or just in the car is forcing the OS to throttle itself.
