I installed it yesterday and tried out CarPlay nav. It worked fine, except that I did notice some static in the voice at times. I had never had that happen before. The driver display directions worked fine for me, some others had reported issues with that on another thread, based on the beta.
I have not seen phantom braking on my Rivian in a while, but today on the freeway it was doing it quite often, with traffic in the lane to the right of me. I got the latest update last week. I suspect it has a lot to do with dirty camera or dirty sensors. The driver display keeps showing cars...
I just rode in a Model y and saw how theirs works. It does show cars beside and behind, which could be useful. My Rivian has this, but it only shows vehicles ahead of me, which is completely useless, since I am always looking forward anyway.
To be honest, this display is annoying and...
I have had good response from Surprise Ford. I had an issue several weeks ago that occured over the weekend, I did a Sunday night drop-off and they called me by 9:30am on Monday and had the issue identified. It took them until Friday to return my car, because they were waiting on a part.

EA has failed in their attempt to upgrade the chargers. The brand new units have all the same issues as the old ABB units. Here is what I saw on my last two road trips in my Rivian:
1) At one stop, one new pedestal had blank screen, second unit output 32kw, third unit in use, had to resort to...
The Ford Trip Planner and Apple Maps will give you a target SoC for that particular charge stop, to get you to the next stop. That is much more useful and is independent of all the other factors that affect charging rates.
Plugshare is very useful for checking reliability of the chargers. In...
Not all electrical plugs are created equal. The cheap ones at Home Depot or Lowes will not stand up to continuous use, even at 80%. Get a Hubbard, they cost close to $100, rather than $20, but well worth it. They make a plug using Bakelite.
I had a plug that melted, and it was installed by a...
You can still turn the charge off on the charger screen. The Rivian does not have a stop button on the truck, only inside on the center screen. But you could still shut down the charging.
FYI, I have aRivian and would never do what this guy did. If I saw the car was at 100% and had stopped...
All CCS cars lock the port when DC charging, that is required by the CCS specification. But, as soon as the charging stops, either by the car or by the station, the lock is released. Anyone can stop the charge on a charger screen.
