  1. 2022 Fiskar Ocean anyone?

2022? That's like a lifetime away. Anything can happen, there will other new EV models coming to market. I don't think I would wait that long. If the mach-e delivery is in 2022, I would never put a deposit on it.
  2. Mach e vs. I-Pace

Have not seen any significant discounts on the 2020 model year. The major ones are for the 2019 ones, and it ranges from $20-25k. When I compared, the low end I-Pace (AWD 230mile range) was $72k => $47k.
  3. Electrify America to switch to a pay by kWh charging model

I believe we are saying the same thing but in a different way. I never say that is what companies should do. It is their job running the company to make money. But that normally is at odds with the consumers. One wants to make the most $$$ for their efforts. The consumers wants the best...
  4. Electrify America to switch to a pay by kWh charging model

I totally agree. IF they have to charge the same $ for kWh regardless of charge speed. The charge companies has more incentives to speed up putting faster chargers in. (pun intended ;))
  5. Electrify America to switch to a pay by kWh charging model

While moving to kWh is great. Nothing says they will or wont have different $ based on the speed of charge. Kind of like Regular/Plus/Premium gas. Same amount. I know its still different but in general, I don't trust companies. They will stick it to the consumers as long as they can get...
  6. Mach e vs. I-Pace

Just checked my local Jaguar dealerships. They are clearing out 2019. $25k off the MSRP with models in the $72-89k range, which pulls it down to $48-64k range. Was tempted but boss wifey said "There must be a reason why the discount is so big, if no one else wants it, why should I? Stick...
  7. A goodbye to all

So the I-Pace you got is the 2019 model year?
  8. Mach e vs. I-Pace

Wondering if that is a national promotion or just varies dealer to dealer? 20k is prob off of the top of the line models. If it was on the lower end $70k models, it would bring the cost in line with the Mach-E Premium at $50k range. I would look into it if it was the case. If its just $85k...

Looks much darker indoors (which I like) compared to the outdoor daylight shots.
  10. Ford Updates on Mach-E Reservations, Order Bank, Cancellations, Test Drives, Deliveries

Thank you for being the voice of reason. Every time this topic comes up some people bring out the torches and pitch-forks. There is no way a company like Ford will risk angering potential buyers and getting bad, bad press by forcing anyone in the US to put in a non-refundable deposit sight...
  11. Back window Mach e

Agree on the reason. I have owned vehicles that have read windows that goes all the way down and those that not quite there.
  12. Mach-E order bank opens May 11, 2020 (Update: possibly delayed to June-July)

Agreed. Think in the USA, they would lose plenty of sales IF the buyers lose any $ for backing out when they weren't able to see and test drive the car. I for one would not commit if they said that.
  13. Preparing for Mach-E charging at home - preparation and installing charger

In terms of what is better for the battery (ie last longer), which is better or makes not difference? 1) 240v L2 Charge 20-80% every few days 2) 110v Charge 60-80% everyday
  14. Preparing for Mach-E charging at home - preparation and installing charger

Is there a difference between 'hardware' versus 240v outlet? Was thinking of having a electrician install the outlet in the garage. Cost around $400-500 here. I know the video says the hardware will support more amps and charge faster. But is it because of the charger model or the connection...
  15. Volvo XC40 Recharge

Good to have options. More the better. While the interior of the Volvo is nice, the exterior just doesn't do it for me. The Mach-E gets me excited while this is just ... blah.
  16. Ford Mach E is up to 41,000 reservations with orders in all 50 states

Same here. I think the first batch of the ones coming out of the factory will be headed to dealers. Just hope my dealership gets one of the premium trim since that's what I reserved.
  17. BMW cites Mach-E as a reason for cancelling EV SUV for US market

Another major benefit of the BEV vs PHEV/ICE is the reduced maintenance. Less complex machines hopefully means it also last longer. I looked into PHEV but it wasn't for me, my commute would have drained the battery on the way to work. I would guess going from 100%->0%->100% cycle will degrade...
  18. Has anyone heard ANYTHING from the dealership you put your reservation with yet? I have not.

I believe the showroom cars were limited time appearances where select dealers had the prototypes there. True showroom Mach-E where we can sit in and drive will arrive later this year. Tentatively October if I remember correctly.

I am opposite, due to the glossy black wheel arch. Thinking Infinite Blue => Star White
  20. Mach-E Waiting Room. Check in with your reservation number!

The dealership closest to me has 2 BUT it doesn't have cables for it for over a year. Wonder if it counts 🤔
