UPDATED: Replacing Rear Shocks: Reducing the rear end bounce.

Agree with the Mach-E being extremely hard to balance between comfort, stiffness and the bouncing back. Your slightly softer springs which are probably similar to the Eibach springs I installed are giving a slightly more comfortable ride. Going with stiffer shocks in the rear do lessen the...

UPDATED: Replacing Rear Shocks: Reducing the rear end bounce.

You mentioned in your other thread about the thumping noise that it did not change or get worse after you installed the lowering springs. I'm not sure if you change your rear shocks to stiffer ones (the Koni's) that the noise will be any less. I can tell you the ride in the back will be more...

Mach-E Aftermarket wheel and tire information and pictures

Hi Mike, the standard premium machined faced 19" wheels come in right around 30 lbs and the Michelin Primacy tires that normally come on them are 29 lbs. I could not find the Bridgestone Turanza T005 tire weight for the 225/55/19 size but their Turanza EV tire in that size is 30 lbs. I would...

Installed 255/45 20 Hankook Ion on my GT

The last couple of years, all the tire sizes I have tested have been the same or larger in diameter than OEM. A couple of weeks ago, I decided to go the other way and run slightly smaller diameter because I wanted a slightly shorter sidewall than OEM. I started out with the 255/40/20's up...

Eibach GT Pro-Kit Lowering Springs on a GTPE

Those lower strut bolts are torqued to 175 ft. lbs so yes they are not easy to remove with normal tools. I use to use air impact drivers but now use my DeWalt cordless impact driver. It takes those nuts off like they were not even tight.

EA station overcharged by almost triple the amount delivered

UPDATE: Two days after I was overcharged, I got an email from EA stating they are crediting my card the overage. In my opinion, very quick.

Eibach GT Pro-Kit Lowering Springs on a GTPE

Erik, I’m also very much looking forward to your take on how your car rides and see if you come to the same conclusion I have. Slightly softer, less bouncy ride. Of course neither of us have the same shocks, tires and my car weighs a bit more.

What is the expected/warranty life for the 12v AGM battery ?

Yes, I've done this for years. Kind of like water heaters. I use to replace them once every 7 years whether they were leaking or not. I even replaced my HVBJB prior to it going bad and the recall coming out. I just don't like surprises or being stuck somewhere. I'm aware a battery can go...

    Battery balancing service?

In case anyone is interested in the service procedure for using the battery balancer after replacing one of the battery modules. This is from the MME repair manual.

Thanks. Had I seen this thread, would not have posted mine.

What is the expected/warranty life for the 12v AGM battery ?

I’ve regularly replaced my batteries at 3 years which for me is usually about 45-50K miles. I do this because I never want to be stuck with a dead battery. I also might put more of a strain on them with front and rear cams, added amps for the audio system, lighting, etc. This MME has the...

EA station overcharged by almost triple the amount delivered

I haven't seen any posts on this but then I rarely DCFC so don't usually look at threads pertaining to that. I did search but found nothing otherwise I would have added this to another thread.

EA station overcharged by almost triple the amount delivered

Not that this would go unnoticed by anyone charging their car but still thought I would mention it just in case...... Every few months, I drive down to Fresno airport (236 mile round trip) to pick up/bring back friends. Yesterday, on my way home from the airport, I stopped where I have charged...

    Suma Mirrors | 5% off "MACHE5OFF"

Chris, I don't know if you can tap into these wires to power the turn signal lamp in the mirror but you can try. Sometimes doing so will cause the door module to go crazy but it should not mess it up permanently. When I was wiring up the puddle lamps to come on any time the doors were open, I...

Emporia charger completes but ends session with fault

I have two Emporia chargers, one on each side of the garage and use them both depending on where I park or if charging two cars at the same time. Typically the charger is set to charge on "Excess Solar" but we haven't had much sun the last few days and needed it fully charged for a trip this...

    Suma Mirrors | 5% off "MACHE5OFF"

I'm usually the same. Don't like logo's on things like mirrors, etc. However in this case, I decided to try it out for its safety benefit. I use it multiple times daily and forget the logo was even there. I do notice it on my other car that I have the blue tinted mirrors but on the MME with...

    Navigation no longer beside speedometer?

No problems here. Drove a little over 220 miles yesterday down to Fresno and back. Turn-by-turns come up on the IPC shortly before the next turn as general mentioned above. This has worked flawlessly for 2+ years through 3 phones (Apple CarPlay). My car is up to date as much as it can be on...

Eibach Sway bars now avalable for the Mach E

Hey Aaron, there have been quite a few members I personally know that have installed these but not all of them post about it. I can say you are correct in that it’s an inexpensive mod/upgrade for what you get in return. I’m sure you will enjoy them and if you’re not hell bent on getting the...

Eibach Front & Rear lift springs + anti roll sway bars

Hey Phil, well that's a tough one. The Koni rear shocks will greatly reduce the rear end bounce but will give you a more firm ride. You will feel more of the road in the back but you won't be bouncing on freeway expansion joints. The lift springs will give you more suspension travel but not...
