The Mach-E needs a REAL refresh!

although I agree that the law likely would grandfather in anything that already existed, the Affordable Health Care Act did in fact set a precedent that a consumer can indeed be forced to purchase a product or service. That had never been done before in the history of this nation.

    Power Up confusion.........

The dealership just called and said my car is up to date. How is that even possible?? I asked the lady that if some people are getting 6.7.0, etc, how am I up to date when I only have 4.2.3?? She said she didnt really know much about the electric cars and would get back to me. I feel like...

    Power Up confusion.........

well then I guess if the connection to wifi now doesnt prompt some updates in the next few days, a trip to the dealership is probably going to be necessary. Because the 4.2.3 is probably what was in the car when I bought it new back in October......

    Power Up confusion.........

In going through some of the screens, I noticed that the car was not connected to my home wifi. So I put that info in and it connected. It displayed "searching for updates" for a second and then displayed "4.2.3" and "completed". So one would think there are a whole lot of updates between 4.2.3...

$50K to replace 2017 Ionic battery

That depends on the age and mileage of the $5k car. It could be nearing the end of its life cycle no different than the car with the bad battery.

    Power Up confusion.........

This is probably a stupid question, but here goes....... My car indicates that I am up to date with version 4.2.3, yet I see posts talking about 6.7, or other updates. And even after reading a thread about understanding OTAs, I still dont get it. Can anyone make sense of it? And to quote...

On the Fence after watching Mach E's thermal system nightmare

Thats because you will likely never resell your mattress or your TV, so resale value is completely irrelevant. Virtually EVERYONE will resell their vehicle at some point. Look, I agree with the overall sentiment that vehicles are not investments. However, lets say there are 2 vehicles that...

    Lemon Law Questions

Typically Ford does these buyback in-house, to avoid Lemon Law litigation and to keep it off the carfax. When I did a buyback of my F150 Lightning, Ford refunded me for everything listed on the sales contract, including dealer fees and sales tax. So as long as that warranty was purchased from...

Can’t use my car again? Think I’m done Ford.

I think there would be a better argument for payment forgiveness on a lease vs a purchase payment. A lease would be more akin to a rental, where you are specifically paying for "use" vs ultimate ownership of the asset. Even if your vehicle is in the shop, that payment is still applying to the...

    Ford Buy Back Program

I recently completed a buyback of my F150 Lightning. The process was actually pretty smooth, and took maybe 2-3 weeks for approval. Ford was pretty fast for this process, because it is in their interest to do this as an internal "customer satisfaction" buyback instead of as a full blown lemon...
