PAAK Failed, no backup Start Passcode

I just got back from the dealership and they did do a software update..but this happened prior to that.

PAAK Failed, no backup Start Passcode

Had this EXACT problem a few weeks. Drove to work using PAAK...left fob at home. No problem. Head out to run an errand and "no fob detected" or whatever it says. I try and bring up the password screen so I can enter my password...no screen. Nothing I did could make the screen come up. My...

Very positive long-term Mach-E ownership review by Edmunds

I'm very impressed with the Mach E and have owned for 6 months. I upgraded my tires and wheels and think the car is very solid to the road, handles very well and, of course, is very quick. It's incredibly fun to drive. It's a good size and does a lot of things well. I drove a Tesla model 3...

    PAAK issues

I couldn't get the password screen up at all..so no ability to enter the password. Mach Lee told me to hit the brake button repeatedly to bring up the screen. I'm going to see if it happens again.

Great to know...this is the nugget I was looking for.

    PAAK issues

I also notice in my Bluetooth settings...TWO Mach E networks: Mustang Mach E and 07172 Mach E. This has happened before as well. My wife is user/driver and I've set her phone up to work with the car. Do these networks represent separate profiles/users for PAAK?

    PAAK issues

Yes...I did. The screen did not fire up to allow me to enter the passcode.

    PAAK issues

The screen won't come on and allow to enter my passcode...hence the problem.

    PAAK issues

I've had my car for about 6 months. Generally PAAK has worked fairly seamlessly. One time, I had to delete and re-add it and I have gotten used to not carrying the fob around...as its nice to have one less thing to keep track of and carry in my pocket. I went out to start to go to an...

    Rivian R2 Reveal w/ R3 and R3X Surprises! $45K, 0-60 >3 seconds, 300+ miles range, NACS port, 4695 batteries

Reservation made for an R2. I won't miss the $100 as we wait to see how the playing field changes radically over the next 24 months. I do like the size and look of the smaller R2 quite a bit. The R1S looks a bit boxy to me.

Prices compared for charging at Supercharger (between Tesla and non-Teslas) - by JerryRigEverything

Thx for this. I was asking this question last week about the variability for charing pricing. So at the moment pricing is variable based on region/state/vendor and basically there is zero consistency. Thank goodness for charging at home which is my main use case.

    Rivian R2 Reveal w/ R3 and R3X Surprises! $45K, 0-60 >3 seconds, 300+ miles range, NACS port, 4695 batteries

I think the R2 looks great. Can't wait to dive into the specs and pricing. I've always thought the R1S is just a little bit boxy for my tastes and I certainly like the starting price. I'm intrigued. I want to dump my Grand Cherokee before it, inevitably, has a major maintenance issue....but...

You can't road-trip in an EV...hold my beer

I really enjoyed this. I haven't done a super long trip in mine yet and I like how you just walked through how it all worked for you. What struck me the most is the crappy 3rd party chargers (non Tesla..which has now changed for us!) and the variable cost to charge in different places. Why...

    Ford falling behind daily

Both may be true. The biggest thing though is Rivian refusing to let Android or Apple car play into their vehicle software stack. Just seems like a strange and stubborn hill to die on.

    Good Bye Mach-E

Sucks to hear about crappy dealer service. I'm in N San Diego county and about to go to the dealer for the first for the recall servicing. I hope my experience is better than yours. Please let us know how the E tron works out. Nice car but looks like crappy range.

Ford drops price of Mach-e by up to $8100

100% true. If this does result in overall downward price pressure on the entire EV market...it will benefit all.

Ford drops price of Mach-e by up to $8100

I should have been more specific. These moves in tandem. Tesla doing their move and then Ford more or less following suit.
