Watch! Interview: MME Chief Engineer Donna Dickson

When you know better, you do better Phil. I guess you don't know any better. Nice to see the confluence of ignorance and arrogance is alive and well. And my name isn't Johnny...

Watch! Interview: MME Chief Engineer Donna Dickson

It used to be informal, but now it’s offensive. Language evolves all the time. It was perfectly fine in the 60s, but that doesn’t make it fine now. Lots of things we said in the 60s and 70s and 80s were “fine”, and now they are not. Add this one to the list. And thanks for making fun of my...

Watch! Interview: MME Chief Engineer Donna Dickson

Gal? Are we in the '60s? You may not have been impressed with what you saw, but I think she's owed a bit more respect than that. https://www.cargroup.org/person/donna-dickson/

Out of Spec discusses 2024 Mach-E Updates / Refresh

Yeah, good point. Magna also make the complete Mach-E front bumper and our smaller front motor, so who knows. But he seems to really like the Mach-E now.

Out of Spec discusses 2024 Mach-E Updates / Refresh

This had been a point of confusion for me since the beginning - did every trim level from MY21 to MY 23 have the same Brembos up front? I seem to remember someone mentioning the only difference was on the GT the were painted red and had the logo proudly displayed. I ask because in Europe it...

Out of Spec discusses 2024 Mach-E Updates / Refresh

Totally agree Patrick. And the weird thing to me is range and charging anxiety seem to be more prevalent in people who don't actually own an EV. So they have no idea what it's actually like. I heard a woman looking at the Dodge Challenger prototype at the Toronto car show say "It's nice, but the...

Out of Spec discusses 2024 Mach-E Updates / Refresh

*Never* understood why he loved the 1st gen ID.4, recommended to anyone who’d listen, but didn’t like the Mach-E. 1st Gen ID.4 was a software disaster, and meh just about everywhere else. Did a recent video on the refresh talking how it’s now a decent EV. But you loved it before and...

Mach-E Fast Charging Tesla Adapters Start Shipping TODAY Per Ford!

I’m 977 and my reservation says May. I’m surprised the cut-off was so low. That or US orders were prioritized over Canada. Either way it’s good news!

70%, 80%, 90%?? For those charging at home, what threshold do you use?

Do you think it would be useful for the manufacturers to introduce a metric like "total kWh" over lifetime of the battery? Similar to the way hours are used to track the use of an airplane engine rather than using "distance".
