Craziest thing you've done for your Mach-e?

PlugShare proved to be invaluable on the trip up to the place we just bought and while waiting for our electrician to find the time to install our EVSE. That app is terrific! Not sure I am willing to put the location on there to allow folks to charge when they need to pop by for a "fill up,"...

Craziest thing you've done for your Mach-e?

Indeed we will be. Just waiting on the inspection before we can start renting it out. I'm definitely making sure to advertise the EV charging, as there is certainly a market for it. 😉

Craziest thing you've done for your Mach-e?

My family takes an annual vacation to drive up from Chicago to Door County, WI. There are a few public chargers up there, but the closest fast charging is Milwaukee, I think, which is still like 3+ hours away from Door County. Looking for rental houses, we were coming up with nothing that had...

Avoid Plug and Charge... for now

Tried Plug and Charge for my first time at an EA DC Fast Charging location in Milwaukee today and it worked perfectly! Pulled in, plugged in and started charging. 45 kwh of free power from Ford in 26 minutes. Worked like a charm! If only it hadn't been at a Walmart and had actually been...

Ford is paying attention to these forums! Customer Service reached out to me to offer help

I'm guessing that Ford's reasons for not announcing themselves on these forums are probably similar to the reasons that I have for not announcing that my work involves managing support experiences for large corporate customers for a certain huge technology company in forums where people complain...

Ford is paying attention to these forums! Customer Service reached out to me to offer help

So, after my long-running recent thread about the bumpy ride that I have experienced with my MME AWD ER First Edition (no need to rehash that particular topic here), I got a call from someone with Ford corporate's Parts & Service team who informed me that he was asked by the team at the plant in...

ok, I give up, Model X it is

So, it looks like, if you all read the bolded letters here, this is simply an April Fool's joke.

Can't deal with the bouncy ride anymore after two weeks with the Mach-E. What do I do?

Nothing like a good old fashioned e-mail storm! I have found great amusement in the couple that I have been a part of over the years in the massive corporation that I am a part of, but I do kind of wish that I had been able to witness Microsoft's Bedlam3 e-mail storm back in 1997.

Can't deal with the bouncy ride anymore after two weeks with the Mach-E. What do I do?

Unfortunately, my dealer could not get me in this week and I will be out of state with the car for about 2.5 weeks. Might want to set a reminder to check back in mid-April. I am really annoyed that I could not get the car in to be looked at by them before taking it 250 miles away for a couple weeks.

Can't deal with the bouncy ride anymore after two weeks with the Mach-E. What do I do?

You are correct. Yes, the van in that video is a much more exaggerated bounce, slower and higher. The bounce that I am experiencing is definitely quicker and of a lesser amplitude. Just trying to paint a little if a picture of the motion being felt (bouncing from front to back as driving along...

Can't deal with the bouncy ride anymore after two weeks with the Mach-E. What do I do?

The YouTube video linked to below is an EXTREME example of what is going on here. Definitely not a Mach-E, but the sensation inside the vehicle feels a bit like this. I would agree with @JamieGeek that the bouncing seems to be attributable to imperfections in the road. In some further...

Can't deal with the bouncy ride anymore after two weeks with the Mach-E. What do I do?

Wow! I give everyone who participated in this thread thus far a great deal of credit! It managed to take 13 whole pages before the discussion devolved into farts and lawn chairs. 🤣🤣🤣

Can't deal with the bouncy ride anymore after two weeks with the Mach-E. What do I do?

My car arrived at the dealer on March 4th, I believe, which was definitely after the brunt of the really cold weather, so it would not be anything weather related. I picked it up with a total of 4 miles on it, so it had not been driving around extensively or anything. I can try to take a look...

Can't deal with the bouncy ride anymore after two weeks with the Mach-E. What do I do?

See Jamie Geek's post back in post #116. The bouncing he has filmed there is exactly what I am dealing with. I am hoping to try and get a video today and will hopefully be able to get a night time video showing the bounce you see in the headlight beams sometime this week.

Can't deal with the bouncy ride anymore after two weeks with the Mach-E. What do I do?

Well, I tried to see what I could with the shocks without trying to squeeze under the car. I don't really see any model numbers that correlate to what was posted. There are some tags with CX727 marked in them on the front ones and QR codes, and some other numbers. CX727 seems to be the internal...

Can't deal with the bouncy ride anymore after two weeks with the Mach-E. What do I do?

Well, sadly, my dealer can't get me into their service department until next week at the soonest, but I will be out of state for a couple of weeks with the car starting Friday. I guess the mystery of the bouncy ride will have to wait for any updates until mid-April unfortunately and I will get...

Can't deal with the bouncy ride anymore after two weeks with the Mach-E. What do I do?

I am curious if maybe I will find the bounciness start to subside. Living in the city, especially during the pandemic, we are not doing a ton of driving. In the past 2 weeks or so since having the MME, I have put about 300 miles on it. Seeing that you are stating that you think the bounciness...

Can't deal with the bouncy ride anymore after two weeks with the Mach-E. What do I do?

3.5 minutes in and I was able to recognize similar bouncing as I am experiencing, especially between the 1:20 mark and the 2:00 minute mark and also again in the 3:00-4:00 mark. I think it is a bit hard to notice the bouncing because the dashcam is in a fixed position mounted to the vehicle...

Can't deal with the bouncy ride anymore after two weeks with the Mach-E. What do I do?

I would almost be willing to accept that as a somewhat close to plausible explanation, except for the fact that while driving at night, you can visibly see the light from the headlights bouncing up and down against surfaces ahead. I have never seen anything like that in my old Mustang or any...

Can't deal with the bouncy ride anymore after two weeks with the Mach-E. What do I do?

@LagerHead - That is a ton of truly helpful information. Lots of good info in this thread. Thanks to everyone for their input. I really appreciate it. This forum is incredibly valuable for us early adopters. This issue is the only thing preventing me from pretty much complete satisfaction with...
