All the 2nd and 3rd orders some folks have placed for the sub 50k models may end up hurting Ford and/or the dealerships with this news. There may be a few heavily discounted MME’s available later in the year.

Been told by Rebecca that the next ship due out after the one on the 21st is the 31st March, then there is another on the 6th April. Fingers crossed we’re all on one of them! My FE build date of the 29th March is cutting it very very fine for the 6th though.

Yep. I suspect they didn’t take into account the impact on demand the UK PICG threshold would have on the ER AWDs.

They need a minimum of 30 orders of a configuration (ie: FE or ER RWD etc) to start a build, as the factory is batch build. My theory is they haven’t sold 30 FE’s but they have to build them in order to deliver the ones they have sold. So they build 30 and open up the order bank again to try...

It’s a bit like a long term zip car. Handy for short monthly leases. But you’re sport on, long term they are no good.

I got the email... however only one, and it’s for the order I’m about to cancel... not my new order.

Funnily enough, I’m ditching the leased CX-5 at the end of the month and getting an e208 via ONTO, to tide me over until June. Lol. Can’t wait to try fit the dog in the boot 😬 EDIT: Will probably try the Kona the following month.

I got an almost identical message from her. 1st March build and 20 March ship. Great news if we do take delivery in June. Fingers crossed no more production delays and we all make that ship. I reckon the reason the FEs went back on sale is not from cancellations, but because they need to batch...

Also, have to say I’m not a huge fan of the green strip on the plates. Hopefully it will grow on me.

Just had confirmation that my FE went into production yesterday! Also been told that the next batch of deliveries are leaving on the 20th March. Not sure if that is old news or not, but it’s exciting news for me. EDIT: It went into production on the 1st March, not yesterday.
