Horrible Experience at Ford Dealer- Is Tesla’s Non-Dealer Model Better?

The dealer knew EXACTLY what they were doing. This is how they make money. Caveat emptor. Check out the videos posted by Kevin Hunter (ex dealer sales guy). He lays plain many of the tactics that dealerships play. Be warned: you might want a long shower after you learn about how the sausage is...

Horrible Experience at Ford Dealer- Is Tesla’s Non-Dealer Model Better?

Since, as a discerning adult, you didn’t see what was on the sign you were holding, it’s a good thing that the sign didnt have some racial epithets or other horrific language on it. 🙄

    What? No phone number?! 😂

Real world range on Premium ER/AWD

There’s no way the MME will give you 2.8 @ 70 mph with the heat on. My Kona is more efficient than the MME and it averages 2.9 @ 70 mph in the winter with heat at 70F.

Real world range on Premium ER/AWD

You have to change the way you think about cabin heating in an EV. In my old Mazda 3, I’d keep the heat at 74 in the winter and use the seat heaters while warming up the car. In my Kona, I only set the heat to 75 for 5 mins to warm up, then I drop it to 68-70. I use the heated seats and steering...

Update on Mach-E launch progress from engineering friends in Mexico

You're not factoring in charge stops. Mexico doesn't have much of a charge network.

Would you fix your own Mach-E

Most, if not all, EV's will have hydraulic brakes. However, they are different because of regeneration. Compared to an ICE car's brakes, the calipers keep the brake pads just off the rotors while the car is braking from regeneration. This allows a very quick changeover to the hydraulic brakes...

Would you fix your own Mach-E

Hyundai recommends tire rotation every 7,500 miles on the Kona EV. I’m not seeing a shorter rotation distance compared to any ICE vehicle I’ve owned.

Mileage for Extended Range Mach-E Models Revealed in EPA Emissions Certifications

In his visit to Jay Leno's Garage, Jim Farley said that Whisper mode would be a max-range situation. Somebody's wrong. Is it the CEO or the manual? At 14:28, Farley says that "Unbridled is for maximum acceleration and Whisper is for really gliding maximum range".

Seriously considering the Tesla Y now, talk me down

I strongly believe Tesla is going in the wrong direction. They only seem to truly care about 2 things: Expanding functions through software without much care to UX design Increasing range to a fault Tesla's heavy focus on constantly adding range & Full Self-Drive is implicit proof that they...

More Mach-E Tour Stops Added (NM, NV, NY, NJ, new: PA)

Apparently not all of the new stops are listed on the mustangmachetour.com site. I just got an e-mail from my dealer inviting me to attend a tour stop at their dealership on 12/14 for MME customers and select interested people.

Update on Mach-E launch progress from engineering friends in Mexico

Maybe it's this kind of a situation....? (If you don't get the reference: Pull up "We're the Millers - Funny cop scene" on Youtube. Be forewarned: It's def NOT safe for work, not family friendly, nor is it politically correct)

Update on Mach-E launch progress from engineering friends in Mexico

...this is why I got divorced a couple years ago ;). Since then, first came the motorcycle. Next, the MME! 😁 My new lady loves riding the bike and supports the MME choice. Oh, how times have changed.

Mach-E has arrived in Antwerpen, Belgium

Ford needs all the EV credits they can get from the EU in order to minimize fines so they can attempt to comply with the EU's tough green vehicle standards.

Update on Mach-E launch progress from engineering friends in Mexico

I bought a new house during the pandemic. It was the fastest closing I’ve ever had as I still had to show up to the attorney’s office, but they put me all alone in the conference room with a pen and the stack of papers to sign (all pre-tagged so I wouldn’t miss any spots). In and out in 25...
