I didn't say it's on the same platform as the e-tron. I said that it is lower priced than the e-tron with a longer range. Therefore, if they have enough production capacity, it might sell more units than the e-tron.
Assume a vehicle w/ size, shape, and ruggedness like the RAV4 could get 3 mi / kw to earn a 250 mile EPA (probably more). It needs an 83 kw (net), assume 90 kw gross battery. That's expensive, and heavy, and slow to charge. That's a $13,000 battery that weighs over a thousand pounds.
Isn't the Audi built in Europe? I don't think you can compare a North American built car against a European built car, because they have to prioritize Europe because of the mandates.
