Red light on ford connected charger

My point is that Ford should never gotten into EVSE business in the first place. There was never an upside in it for them. They should have just started with recommending a handful of "works with" products.

Which is why I said that Ford created for them selves a headache they didn't need. Yes computers on wheels, and all. But more complex than your iphone and must operate in a wider range situations. I don't think any car maker yet at point where they can diagnose their cars remotely or standing...

    Key Fobs not available?

They've on back order from Ford Parts for at least 2 months, maybe more. I got one from Car and Truck Remotes for $80, but the price has now gone up $130.

Installed the Mach-E window wind / rain deflector kit

Mine lasted 6 years on my C-Max (also in AZ). No problems. These are much nicer than the ones for C-Max.

Two cases where they really help. When parking in extreme heat and oppressive sunshine, lets you leave a window open a crack to keep the car cooler, while at the same keep freak rainstorm from getting in. When it's raining but the temps are fairly cool, lets you shut off A/C and not fog up all...

PAAK fans, time to dispose of your FOB

So I got this email from Car and Truck Remotes Exit question: are any PAAK enthusiasts confident enough in their phones to get rid of their FOBs?

    DPF?

Clearly, Grabber Blue cars are an attractive nuisance and should be discontinued. Ford should cancel all Grabber Blue GT reservations.

Except that one of Apple's core businesses is selling Macs. And Apple has a big part in designing them. EVSE's are way outside of Ford's core competencies. Hmmm. Genius mechanics? Reminds me of a very old joke: What does IBM FE do when he has a flat tire? He replaces tires one at a time...

US based Mach Owners can save some money on a ESP

early replaced modules don't matter, since they are covered by the warranty. The question is what repairs are need after the first 3 years. That we cannot know. But we can assume that nearly all out of warranty repairs will expensive.

Red light on ford connected charger

Except Ford didn't make this charger. A 3rd party company did. Ford just put it's logo on it. Also, if you ever charge outside of home, you're using 3rd party charger. Ford should have done what most other manufacturers do and simply provide a convenience cord, as they already do and a...

"Ford Options" Mach-E Lease vs standard lease - similarities and differences

Don't think this is correct. If the balloon amount, interest rate, and term remain the same, and all you do is reduce the amount of principal, the total amount of interest will go down. Using your spreadsheet, I would save $270 by reducing principal by paying principal down by $7,500 after 10...

No More Blue Cloud HOV Plates in Arizona?

When I went there to go through the paperwork, they did try to get me to pay about $1,500 invalid fees and $1,500 for dealer installed stuff. The fees were dispensed with because of VLT and the XPlan limit on DOC fees. For the dealer options, I flat out said that I don't want them. Since the...

My list of Ford Pass complaints

Back when I used to go to the office, we had 2 free L2 chargers, and between 5 and 10 people wanting to charge their cars. Assuming you don't want to be a shithead, and want to move your car once you finished charging, it may be helpful to know what the state of charge is now instead of 17...

No More Blue Cloud HOV Plates in Arizona?

Camelback. AVOID When I was getting my paperwork done by them, they attempted to charge me full VLT of about $1,000. If you're unprepared or inattentive, you'll get skinned. Why is it that when a dealer makes a mistake, it's never in your favor?

    Slow Charging

These numbers don't jibe. If your Chargepoint is set 40A, that means you are pulling 32A and should be getting 7.68kW. If it's actually set to 50A and you are pulling 40A, it would still only get 9.6kW. You can't break Ohm's law. It's strict, but just.
