how about an actual key to unlock the doors, dead battery no problem, use key, open doors, pop frunk, charge/change battery. Simple ages old solution to a 2021 onwards problem.
I guess i'm in the 1% club then. I was seduced by the Mustang, spent a year with it but choosing between getting home freezing cold or being warm was the last straw. I didn't know anything about EVs going into it and hadn't read about the abysmal winter performance (loss of 35% range) which on...
Use their paid subscription so you can precondition while driving and they get money each month or allow same feature for free? hmmmm, which way do you think they'll go?
When you've preconditioned the battery and cabin temperature in the Winter. Driven 80 miles to the airport, dropped off your better half then at 50 miles of the way back home the range and % isn't going to make it YES range anxiety is real and not a made up EV hater thing...
Had to turn off...
lol, ask any owner who's ever been unable to enter their car because the 12v battery is dead or a software update rendered the entry inoperable how light years ahead it is versus a key hole?
Ask any owner how light years ahead it is to melt your HVJB because of undersizing components.
Local Ford dealer.
What's the price for a 20k service on a mach-E?
Here's the rates sir, starts at $99 for oil change.
Me..... its an EV.
Ford..... oh, it doesn't need anything then.
Me..... why does it have a 20k service schedule if it doesn't need anything?
Some dealers are just clueless.
The DC charge flap might be pushing against the door not allowing it to be pushed inwards to open it. It might just need a lot of force to overcome if that's the problem.
I had the SR AWD. In the summer at 75mph it was 3 to 3.2mi/kW
Winter same speed 2.2
Pre-condition even in summer.
EVs are great for traffic light Grand Prix. Bad at highway speeds. God awful in the winter. Do you want crap range and heat in the cabin or bad range and freeze. So glad the...
This group has been very knowledgeable and helpful but my time with a Mach-E (and EVs in general) is over. I was seduced with the looks and instant response but I wish I'd never traded my Edge ST.
Pros:
Walk away lock (when it worked) was a nice feature
Large infotainment screen was good...
My fronts are immaculate, rears look just like yours (plenty of deep ingrained marks which aren't just on the surface). Shop showed me when it had it's yearly inspection but also said it's fine, just letting you know.
All I want is a button on the top bar for opening the trunk seeing as there's no physical button and as soon as a passenger opens a door everything turns off. Really F'ing annoying. Should only turn off after driver opens door.
And add a regen meter or add to trip details... how much regen...
Whisper = slower acceleration and less regen. Unbridled = faster acceleration and more regen.
Most Eco = Precondition battery, read the road, use acceleration wisely. Keep <=70mph
