If you are using any EVSE that plugs in, the hazards of NEMA 14-50 outlets are well documented. The closer you load these outlet to rated capacity, the more likely you are to experience overheating problems (with huge potential consequences). If you don't need the max speed of charging--and...
"Genius hack" as the kids might say.
And thanks for naming this thread to facilitate finding it on a search. That might also preclude having 20 parallel threads...🤔
What am I thinking? That's not possible!
It's somewhat impractical to have smoke detectors in garages. Simply sweeping kicks up enough dust to trip a photoelectric unit and ionization units might also cause false alarms due to this or combustion gases from ICE vehicles. The sometimes moist outdoor environment isn't suitable for these...
Then you are correct to expect it to charge at full rate until it's fully charged. I don't notice the charge rate tapering off very much, if at all, at 80% with level 2 charging.
One of the things about modern vehicles: no compromise required... Either the fobs or PAAK can have the profile you prefer personalized, including these settings. Do have it your way-both of you.
My wife likes the seat up near the roof. All I have to do is open the door with my phone and the...
Kind of looks like they actually sent them out in order of request placement...once they got around to sending some North. I was order 1966, I think, and got mine Friday morning. I was inordinately excited about it! Anticipation, I guess. If I ever get a BC update OTA, I might just pass out...
You bet. Got mine Friday. I was unjustifiably excited--anticipation cultivated by Ford!
No strike effect as Canada Post wasn't part of the shipping chain (other than the fact they are invested in Purolator). It was a direct point-to-point. My order number was just under 2000.
The timing and ultimate percentage of a charge are determined by how you program the car... Either in-car, or using the Ford Pass app.
The only role of the EVSE (your Charging Station) is to partially override that choice by only being available to supply power for some hours, per its...
Also to @Thunderanger
Best we can do is set heat to off, temp at minimum, and push a/c button off. Use manual fan to control airflow. I don't believe there is anything you can do about the a/c compressor kicking in to eliminate the possibility of fogging under certain temperature/humidity...
Would that "magma-ride" unit also provide the rear seat heat everyone wants and maybe also replace the heat pump, giving the frunk space back?😁🔥🥵
Happy Halloween everybody!
It's certainly possible. I agree the temperature on level 3 is uncomfortable to keep at that setting for very long and yes, it's warmer than my other vehicles but I've never compared to another Mach-E. Since the strategy/recommendation for our cars is supposed to be to use the seat heat rather...
I'm well familiar with cold climate units. My question is also genuine. Is the Mach-E unit so designed? A question for some of our plugged-in members.
As far as response speed, I think just heating up the mass of the refrigerant by compressor action will take longer than the simple and...
I have to question the heat pump hype for a car (notwithstanding that I heat my house that way). Unless it's designed as a "cold climate" unit, it won't be a game changer in really cold climates. It will, in any event, be slow to deliver heat and that is important to get those windows...
Order 19xx (yes, I ordered that first morning). Got the email this week. Delivery date listed as September. Lots with higher order numbers in US already have theirs, so we are delayed here...as usual.
I'm hopeful for sometime prior to year end. Not a big deal, my long roadtrips are few...
