Very cool. I have a friend with a Tesla that is almost there. He had one $800 repair. Lots of reports of 500k teslas. I wonder if part of the pullback of the car companies on evs is the realization that they will basically last forever. And they get no $ for maintenance. I have 25k on my...
I was reading through thr forum this morning, and it occurred to me that literally nothing discussed in the forum has ever gone wrong with my Mach e. Same with all the YouTubers. I have a theory about this. I made very few changes from the way the car was delivered. I especially wonder...
I know these forums are generally for posting bad news. But I’m always different. I have had my 2022 for two years, and have 20000 miLes. Yesterday I hit a pot hole, and one of my tires blew out. I called the Ford service. They towed it to a dealer, and I still made my flight. They even paid...
I took mine in, in the middle of a snowstorm. I have winter tires swapped every six months, so they are rotated. The dealer told me it would be a waste of my time.
When I took mine in, the dealer was straightforward with me and said it was really not necessary. And a waste of my time. they just rotate the tires and check the washer fluid. My tires are being rotated every 6 months anyway when I get the snow tires on and off (he could see the costco...
I have recently noticed a dramatic increase in tire noise in my car. I have the original p0s. Lots of tread left after 8k miles. The dealer said “they all do that” . I went to a pirelli dealer who seemed to acknowledge they all do that, but showed me it is explicitly excluded from the warranty...
In many states it is illegal to applay these now. They have no utility. IF they do not come off easily, I found that a shop that does wrapping can remove them with what looks like a hair dryer.
I must admit I don’t even understand what is being discussed here. But with all these evs (I have a Hyundai also) it seems like a good rule is to just keep it simple.
I have a performance edition, so basically ford says no chains. BUT I live at 9000 feet in the Rockies, with a drive that is a quarter mile long and uphill. I have snow tires mounted in the winter. Ford spent a lot of engineer time making these cars work well in snow. I have a jeep...
13000 on mine also in Colorado. Literally zero issues. I also like to point out does engineers spent time making it perform well in snow and ice. With snow tires it is better than my wrangler
I live in the mountains in Colorado and. Needless to say it gets cold. I use -50 washer fluid, but the other day the washers stopped working on the way to the ski slopes. It was 8f. I assume the washer pipes freeze more easily since there is not an motor around. Any ideas or fixes? It is not a...
My step son has an Tesla also. I’m 66 and have a bad back. There is an issue you did not mention that is a complete deal breaker for me and any Tesla. The ride is sooo rough my back starts to hurt after a short time. The mustang is, however, awesome. I would never consider a Tesla.
I have the same car. It is one year old this month and has 12 k miles. It has been flawless. My step son has a Tesla. In comparison, the ride is 100x better in the ford. I have a bad back and the Tesla is unbearable . In addition ford spent a lot of time on performance in Snow. Apparently...
