Yeah I can see where driving less might affect the 12v battery. But for the love of god, it has a gigantic battery that could be used to maintain the 12v. Just doesn't make sense.
Got the "service vehicle soon" HVBJB failure last week. First thing they did was test my 12v battery and it failed 2 out of 3 tests so they are replacing it. My car is only 2 years old with 10,350 miles...
Also, why in the world did they put such a little shitty 12v battery in a hard to access...
Just got a call from the dealership and it is indeed the HVJB. Part takes a couple days to get here; installation takes a day or day and a half. There's a small chance I'll get the car back this Friday. More than likely it will be next week. Maybe just in time to trade it in on a Toyota.
My 7/22 build date is currently in the shop with (probably) the HVJB issue. I just checked and I could trade it in for a '24 GT Performance and have a cheaper payment if they gave me a fair trade-in value. Very tempting!
Thanks to Mike I got the DTCs and there are several that show at the time I got the error on the dash. Hybrid/EV Battery Positive Contactor A Circuit Stuck Closed
I assume this is the HVJB. I was hoping mine would not have this problem because it was manufactured after they "fixed" the issue...
Got the "Service Vehicle Soon" message with the wrench icon on the dashboard. There are no notifications or errors in FordPass and the car is driving and behaving normally. I got the 10k miles service done last week.
Started doing some searching and found this thread...
Got the new phone set up with PAAK and there was only one "gotcha" from my experience. After you set it up for PAAK, it asks you to set up your start password. I wanted to use the same password as before but it won't let you because it is being used with a different phone. So I tried to...
I've got my 10k service coming up soon and I'll do my own cabin air filter. My biggest worry is that my small town Ford place won't put it up on the rack correctly and damage the battery.
Yep, that's what I'm hoping to avoid. I was hoping there was an official "PAAK user's guide to getting a new phone" type thing but I guess I'm overthinking it.
