One other thing to mention, if anyone is still following this thread. I had the VIN registered with EVGO for what they call autocharge. I think you have to un-register your VIN at any charge network that you registered separately from plug n charge.
Thank you for writing up this guide.
One thing not clear to me is the process on how to transfer a paid Blue Cruise subscription to the new owner? I have the 1/1/27 expiration date in my Connected Services since I paid for a 3-yr extension. The cancel button says the service will remain...
I found a buyer via Facebook marketplace -- not the MachE specific group, just general Facebook marketplace.
A couple of weird replies that wanted to offer 30% less for a cash deal today, but otherwise pretty good conversation until I found someone who recognized the value and made an offer -- I...
What's the part on the right that looks to be a shard of something hanging down from the underbody? It doesn't look right.
Can you send another pic of the entire right side of the vehicle. It's hard to see enough from your two pics.
You'll have follow the steps in the DIY FDRS thread, but yes its possible.
https://www.macheforum.com/site/threads/the-complete-diy-guide-to-updating-your-mach-e-with-fdrs-alternative-to-forscan.10217/
That thread is a little overwhelming at this point (don't try and read 356 pages). The first...
Haha, yes anvil in the ocean is about the right analogy for Taycan depreciation. That's one of the reasons I only went 4S instead of the higher trims. It's plenty fast and I'll keep it for 4-5 yrs, so I'm not super focused on resale yet.
2025 Taycan 4S
I wanted a performance sedan without a glass roof, and the mass market seems to be completely focused on SUVs with glass roofs for some reason.
We can switch to a private message, but have you researched your charging options when going on a road trip? There is another guy on here from Vermont @generaltso, and I thought he previously mentioned that Vermont has limited options for public DCFC charging.
Just pointing that out because I...
I have been on the waitlist for another new car, and that car has now been built and I will pick it up soon.
I've been incredibly happy with the MachE. Never any problems and this forum has been the greatest companion to the vehicle -- so many knowledgeable and helpful people on here and I will...
I have decided to sell my MachE, but I am a bit stumped on how to go about it.
Cargurus used to let you put a private sale listing up, but apparently they ended that option.
Of course I listed it in the forum on this site...
After 3.5 years and absolutely loving this car, I am putting mine up for sale this month. My new car is almost ready and I don't have room for both.
Only ~27,500 miles, and the interior/exterior is in great shape. Yes, it's a job 1 2021, but it was one of the first customer cars on the assembly...
Do you park the car outside? Possibly someone came and stole a few of your battery modules overnight.
They hoped you wouldn’t notice, but you’re super savvy and are on to them. Your next step could be to ignore everything about this forum and contact your Ford dealer to inquire about missing...
Declaring an EV-only target date for only a few years in the future was an extremely aggressive target. I don't blame them because it was an EV party a couple years ago. Fine to let them quietly walk it back.
I have EV for daily driver, but I have some ICE cars that I would like to drive into...
Google made this really confusing.
There is a RTOS based on android that will essentially be a QNX replacement for Ford. CarPlay and Android smart phones will be able to take over the display in the same way they do today.
The naming is confusing because both the OS and ability to connect a...
You skimmed over a HUGE detail mentioned in the article:
The current Sync 4/4A in the MachE is the embedded QNX. It is NOT technically feasible to swap into the new Google OS that Ford has announced will be coming to new models.
The likelihood is ZERO.
Magic Dock locations are available to any EV. They've been converting more stations to Magic Dock, even as the Ford / Rivian adapter rollout has been progressing at the same time.
For what purpose are people needing to control the car windows via their phone?
My button is still there in the app (iOS beta), but not sure under what circumstances I would need to use it.
