Iāve never had a problem- even on a 4,000+ mile trip. I exclusively use the Tesla and EA apps to map/find and execute my charge and have kept plug&charge turned off since a week after I bought the car. BUT just this week, the Ford app randomly turned it on. Hmmmm.
After five months of owning a 2024 AWD Premium, itās normal for range or state of charge to dissipate over night, mainly due to environmental conditions. Having a home charger, I just keep it plugged in. On a cold (36 degrees) day like today, range is showing 216 miles at 90%; as the day warms...
With my 2024, I didnāt renew after the 90 day trial. Experienced that it wasnāt consistent enough on the freeways, especially in our winding, mountainous terrain. Interestingly, just turning on adaptive cruise and lane keeping worked about as well as long as you keep a hand on the wheel.
Last night (12/17), I went to check the state of charge on Ford Pass, and it showed the car was still in town and hadnāt charged. Going out to the car, it had reached target charge. Ford Pass is still not connecting today.
Hmmmm. Did a 4,670 mile trip and only had to wait in line once (Los Angeles). Encountered three broken EA chargers, but there were plenty of operating ones available at those stations. Superchargers are the game changer.
