No. You are not missing anything. The Charge Point Charger was on sale at Amazon back in December for $650. It shouldn't be more than $700 unless Charge Point changed the price.
You should be fine with the Ford provided charger.
Just expect a slower charging rate.
I am going to use mine in the...
It shouldn't be 14 months.
Remember, I reserved mine when it was introduced by Ford. Now should be much much quicker. You may have yours by summer.
The Charge Point charger can be plugged or hardwired. Maximum amperage though is only attained when hardwired. 48amps hardwired or 40 amps...

While you wait prepare yourself...
Back in town from a business trip.
Three weeks away from our Mach E.
Addiction withdrawal for sure.
Back to normal again. Things have changed lately on the road. Now.....I get the thumbs up constantly from Mustang fans and luxury vehicle owners/drivers. They know about the Mach E.!!!
Back behind the wheel of my MME. Three weeks of absence, I was eager to drive my Electric Chariot. ~2600 miles on the odometer. My wife drove my pony as much as she could.
Her latest critique........ apprehensive at first of what to expect......she is a changed person.
Mach E is more than she...
Ii is a different feeling. You get used to it, especially in NorCal. Try the South East coast.
Not many of us driving MMEs but still get the looks and thumbs up gestures.
Enjoy it. I am on a business trip and I have missed my MME so much. Driving around on rentals of all kind and I miss it even...
I ordered mine the 18th. Just got an email showing shipment and tracking #.
It is a SS receiver they make only.
I don't know if all the parts are SS.
I will know in a few days.
Fed Ex Ground only.
I'm getting my cutting tools ready.
You gave me the pieces of info I needed.
Bolts and tool is furnished with the kit.
Did they mention any seal to put around the cutout? Something you can purchase at any parts store to close out the cutout area tightly?
Also, it is the stainless steel version you installed?
Spring in South Carolina. Trees and plants are blooming. Pollen is flying like clouds. Everything gets a yellow tint to it.
Washing my Mustangs is a weekly chore unless mother nature washes them down.
Time to plan a road trip to the Blue Ridge Parkway. Over 2000 miles on the odometer.
