Well, I can extend the test period to 6 weeks, outdoors at temps down to -20, buried under 2 feet of fresh snow and not plugged in. My red FE went into deep sleep mode for most of the time. I returned from my extended travel and it started immediately. The main battery lost about 6% charge in...
I am curious about the plug and charge failure rate. I have had a 100% success rate at three different EA charging locations with my Seattle-based FE. The only fault error occurred at the same moment I shutdown the Fordpass app during the session. I do not have the EA app installed.
Yep, the scuff polished out easily without need for a body shop. I only drove my red FE in Alaska for a week as I am in Seattle for a month overseeing renovatations to property I bought for family. Like every ME buyer can confirm, the car definitely attracts an unbelievable amount of attention.
I've seen some comments about the ventilation in the things you like and don't like thread. I have a Ford suv with auto climate control and it works great. Not sure why i find this one so difficult to set right.
Unless you need the highest charge rate, you can adjust the amps on most wall mount EVSEs down to a rate below your arrays average output. (Assuming your EVSE is either jumper or software adjustable). That will cut down on the amount electricity you have to import.
Thanks. That’s the first Ford response I’ve seen with regards to the reason for the stop sell. I’ll be curious to know if they find it not a charging station issue but a car or Ford Pass scheduling issue.
I haven’t used the charge scheduling at all as I have my car set to begin charging as...
FWIW. My hardwired Ford Wall Charger (one of the first batch shipped in Jan) is working perfectly in the first week since I received my car. I've tried to break it with full 48a charge current, low 18a charge current, multi hour charges, multiple short charges, rebooting charge station, car on...
50% to route 50% to other. It doesn't know where I'm going, but it does know I'm not going to make it without a charger. 1.7 mi\kWh.
(Relax northerners, it's a red herring. I was parked for an hour with the heat On and the 'engine' running but not going anywhere.)
