I wonder if they still use the same wiring harness/pigtail/connector but just removed the sensor? If so, it would be possible to retro-fit the sensor. But then, what software mods would be needed? Can you tell I really want that feature?

Wait...what? You can enable kick to open liftgate??? What year/model did you do this on? I have a 2024 Premium AWD ER and would love to have that feature. Is the sensor still there on my vehicle, just disabled?

I got the same response from FordParts.com. I entered my vehicle info and they said it's not compatible with my vehicle. Reason? Since they removed that from my vehicle's BOM (bill of material) Ford's computer is simply reflecting that. I ordered one anyway. It will fit.

I just found the Bosch A401H blade today at a local O'Reilly's and it fits nicely, with not much room left to the edge of the glass. But I also saw and ordered a 410mm (16.14 inch) Pennzoil blade that I ran across on Amazon. We'll see how it fits, I think I have enough glass for that extra 0.14...
