Such a simple but functional feature for owners to further personalize their driving experience and comfort. It's small touches like this that make a vehicle stand out and feel special. It's a real shame that the bean counters at Ford managed to get their paws on this and other decontended...
I also heard it was a decontended for the 2024+ MY. Not a good look for Ford.
Just had a thought; what if you order a '21-'23 Premium headrest? It should be a different part # with the adjustments, right?
Does anyone know of a part # for a completely assembled MME GT driver's seat? I'd sure hate to have to buy and assemble every individual component. I'd be cool with buying a seat secondhand, but I haven't seen anything pop up in the several months I've been keeping an eye out.
That's exactly how I feel about the seats in my Premium; I sit on top of them and not in them. The lack of lateral support is not very confidence inspiring in the twisties. I've actually been keeping an eye on eBay for a clean GT(PE) driver's seat.
Initial impact harshness is definitely one of...
@Makomachine, thanks for your comparison thoughts and congrats on your GT order!
I've been contemplating going to a 2025 GT from my 2023 Premium and I'm waiting for an opportunity to test drive one. I keep checking with local dealers, but none seem to have inventory yet.
I've come very close...
Interesting, I wasn't aware of that. My understanding was that the brake lights come on when the car senses a certain degree of deceleration via onboard sensors. This only happens in 1PD mode?
It took a year to figure it out, but I found that I prefer the regenerative braking and steering feel of "Low Gear" in Whisper mode. Now, if only my MME had the rally suspension...
The dimple was added on the 2023 job 2s. I remember when shopping for mine, there was a 23.5 GT on the lot that had the dimple. Whereas my 2023 job 1 didn't.
So, any way you slice it, it sounds like Magneride is a more comfortable, compliant ride than the pre 2024 Premium suspension.
I understand that comfort is subjective, but I don't recall anyone saying that the Magneride on the GT was worse than the Premium.
Either way, I have a brand new set of Eibach anti-sway bars waiting to be installed.😁
Suppose I could always install Rally springs on a GT if I couldn't live with the ride.
