I even did a master reset and pulled my 12v connection (dealer recommendation) nothing doing. Trust me I have cleaned the clock. If its not working I hate to think people are on wild goose chases.
A major issue is the secondary bluetooth pairing that is require to make PaaK work. Not sure why...
Reading this thread is frustrating. I can't believe Ford left us in this mess with a $55,000 + car. With such a convoluted design for PaaK, I just cant see it EVER becoming reliable or useful enough. If the key is not on the phone then the phone is NOT a key.
In any case, I don't believe in...
God! I'm terrified.
Every time they have done something PaaK has gotten worse and worse for me.
Dealer asked me to disconnect battery. and I lost all my settings again.
After yesterdays update? I have lost all fordpass access to my car. I'm permanently stuck on the activation pending page...
For some reason the recall is VIN based. So it is possible your car was not listed.
To the OP. do you know when the car was produced?
Sounds like it is mostly working. So IMO don't take it in for update. Wait for OTA.
Unfortunately its going to be 2 more weeks before I find a hole in my schedule to go park myself at the dealer ship for another 4 hours. Honestly I don't think they have a clue on how to fix this. The fix has to come from the mothership.
I'm going to talk to them to see if they can reset the...
Proximity does not work.
But if I hold the button down on the app the doors unlock.
But start does not work. Says no key detected.
Yet my Phone says PaaK is set up but I guess it is not working at all.
Tried 2 android phones both say the same thing.
I'm testing an iphone now.
Well as one who got his car bricked recently at the dealership during an update, I would say it is a great car. The issues are not hugely different from other models IME. It has never left me stranded somewhere. There are occasional random error messages but they always clear.
Recently my PaaK...
I'm not clearing the door access code. Thankfully the master reset does not clear it.
It will not allow me to reinput the backup start code.
No I'm going to have to beg him. I'm taking a 3rd party key fob to him. Guarantee I will get grief for that.
Ok so I cleared the cache and did another reinstall of app. no dice.
- Door lock unlock works. Which means PaaK is active at some level right.
- Will not start.
- Will not allow backup start code.
- On my profile it does not recognize my phone as PaaK enabled, which it did before.
- My app says...
Yup! Did that too. Like I posted earlier full master reset and complete reinstall of fordpass with all setting including vehicle deleted.
This is what happens at the backup code stage.
Just baffled that my phone that largely worked PaaK is essentially kaput right now.
The crazy part is door...
I just hope the folks within Ford are paying attention. I just spent 3 hours resetting everything clear all my keys, deleted my vehicle and built it back from scratch. Finally my lock ulock is working but the car PaaK will not start now. And any attempt to enter the back up code throws a system...
I think we have to start a campaign for Ford to add SoC info to the display. The car knows all this info. When the BMW I3 first came out there was no SoC display and the owners collectively forced BMW to add it on a software update. Not sure why we have to fight this battle again but here we are.
So I had this update applied this morning. After a brief moment of panic when the overconfident dealer technician, (I warned him to talk to factory first) success fully bricked the car, flashing lights, horns beeping and 4 folks running around and all, they managed to get the software loaded in...
This is however unfortunately not true at 110v. The power electronics all have to stay awake so can easily consume 30% or more of the power. If the fans/compressor kick on due to ambient temperature, the drain may even end up gaining on the charge level. I speak as one who charged at 110v for...
Premium AWD ER . 287 miles range at 100% 102f skight tail wind 73 mph freeway speeds.
BTW one thing is the Mache is very accurate at the bottom end. I just hit 3% and 8 miles range with no turtle mode. I plan to take it further down to see where turtle mode starts.
