    How to charge faster w/o a Nema 14-50 (from a 120-volt outlet).

Are your breakers GFI breakers? Probably they are not, because that is unusual. But they do exist. So if you have one you could be right about the ground issue. But if you have standard breakers, I assume they are 15 Amp breakers. Which means you can only draw 15 Amps, of course. Not 30, as some...

It Works!- The Phone as a Key (PAAK) and Bluetooth issues fixed w/ 21B36 field service action software update

I read in another thread that PAAK has high battery use on your phone. Is that the case after the update?

Mach-E 2021 Wheel Sizes, Bolt Patterns, Offset, Center Bore, Load Rating, GVWR [Table]

I had these wheels on my list, but became too concerned about the highway range impact. Around town I think the range impact will be minimal, with most of it due to the tires and not the rims. But once you get up to highway speed, I am worried the aerodynamic resistance will be significant...

This forum is giving me cold feet…

If you don't think the debate about emissions is political, then we have vastly different experiences with debates about the environment. Regardless, people are now debating emissions in this thread and it is becoming contentious. Exactly like I expected. Can we please just focus on what...

This forum is giving me cold feet…

Agreed, except we probably will not agree regarding who is lying. And this is a car forum, not an emissions debate forum.

This forum is giving me cold feet…

Maybe we can find some common ground we can all agree on and then hopefully we can drop this topic. I can see many arguments getting started very soon... BEVs shift emissions production from where the vehicle operates to somewhere else. It can be beneficial to move the emission production from...

This forum is giving me cold feet…

Because of this forum, I know more about the MME than any other car I have purchased before. Ever. Of course every car has issues, and certainly the first production vehicles will have more issues than later production vehicles (as others have said). Personally, I followed this forum for about...

Mach-E wins again - massive range test against 11 rivals

I prefer the car companies to pay for their own tests, and if they provide bad test results, their reputation is damaged and their sales negatively impacted. That is the way it should be IMO. And there are lots of independent testers out there that are reliable and can help hold the car...

San Jose to LA trip -- not so good

My two cents: he is not missing the point. He does not want to drive 70, because that dump truck driving 75 mph will run him over.

Mach-E 2021 Wheel Sizes, Bolt Patterns, Offset, Center Bore, Load Rating, GVWR [Table]

I don't think there is any data from Ford regarding the weight rating of the stock wheels, but if you look at how they are built, and their weight, they should have a pretty high rating. I expect similar to what the tires are rated. But of course, I am only guessing. I understand the MME...

Mach-E 2021 Wheel Sizes, Bolt Patterns, Offset, Center Bore, Load Rating, GVWR [Table]

The rear GAWR is 1510 lbs per wheel, which is very close to the 1650 lbs rating of the wheels. You know the stock wheels are much stronger than that, and the stock tires are rated at 1929 lbs. If I am to put new wheels on, I want them to be rated closer to the tire rating. When you drive hard...

San Jose to LA trip -- not so good

Because there is no tow hook receptacle on the front of the car, I have been worrying about how the MME will be towed up onto a flat bed. In your case, it sounds like since you had power, the tow truck operator allowed you to drive it on and off the bed. I can see situations when the operator...

Aftermarket wheels are always my first mod

Yep, typo. But I meant to type 245/50 R19, because as you said, 45s won't fit the 7" rim. Also the circumference of the 245/50s are almost identical to stock, and 245/45 would be too small compared to stock. As you pointed out. Sorry for the typo. I edited it soon after posting, but I guess the...

Aftermarket wheels are always my first mod

I think I am going to put 245/50 R19 tires on the stock wheels when my MME arrives. Did you pick a all season tire, or a summer tire? I am planning on Pirelli Cinturato P7 All Season because they are supposed to have low rolling resistance, and we don't get much snow around here.

Mach-E wins again - massive range test against 11 rivals

Yes but steady state highway range should be very good. The weight will reduce city range but should impact highway range less, where aerodynamics play a big role in range. If it has 108 kWh of usable capacity (I have not confirmed the number), it may have the best highway range on the market...

San Jose to LA trip -- not so good

I have always been someone who likes to be one of the fastest cars on the road. But then my speed limit regulator nicely asked me to agree not to exceed 78 mph. Because I happen to love my speed limit regulator, I told her I would do that. No more 100 mph sprints when I can see far enough to...

I wonder why they didn't test the Model S?

20" MRR FS06 Wheels on Mach-E first Impressions - BUY THEM NOW!!!!!

The MME is a very heavy vehicle. Did you check the wheels to make sure they can handle the weight? When I was looking at aftermarket wheels, some of the lightest ones are rated too closely to the GVWR for my comfort, especially when I plan to do some hard driving.

Why so slow on Level 2?

Very cool but I am pretty sure the BEV has to be able to provide output power, and the MME is not designed to do that. Yet.
