  1. TSB 21-2190 Illuminated Powertrain Malfunction (Wrench) Indicator With DTCs - HV Battery Not Charging At Level 3 DC Fast Charging Station/EVSE

So I've had this issue with Efacec DC fast chargers that EVGo uses around here. I performed the OBCC update myself with my own equipment and software license, and that fixed the problem. No, it doesn't brick the car if you encounter this issue - the car only says there's a charger malfunction...
  2. New software update (via dealer)

I'm really curious how the dealer got their hands on this update. I don't see any updates for the APIM on FDRS for my car.
  3. New software update (via dealer)

Yes, updating the IPMA via OBD appears to completely erase the module and then reprogram it from scratch - no fancy-schmancy memory swaps. In fact, I believe it actually programmed both portions of the module memory with identical firmware, which of course made things twice as long 🙄 As for...
  4. Rebate from local utility - a Mustang is not electric!

It's almost as if there isn't some way to instantly find out if "electric mustang" is a thing. Like, if you could have an electronic library of sorts, where you can... type your query? And then results will appear almost instantaneously - plus it'd be up-to-date information?
  5. Anyone use a CHADeMo adapter ?

CCS, not CSS. CHAdeMo and CCS use two different signaling schemes - I believe CCS uses something similar to what powerline ethernet uses, while ChaDeMo talks CANBUS directly. Converting between the two would require an active converter with electronics. Also, what @AZBill said.
  6. New software update (via dealer)

I'm not sure if you've done a firmware ("calibration") update on the Mach-E yet, but a couple observations on my own misadventures with FDRS and a Bosch Mastertech VCI: 1) Updating the Image Processing Module A (IPMA) takes a REALLY long time - about 3.5 hours. Most of the other modules take...
  7. Where is the love?

I saw my twin charging at a Volta charger (twin because it was another Infinite Blue!). Flashed my lights and waved as he drove right by me, and was completely ignored. I think most people aren't really paying attention to what's going on around them when driving, sadly.
  8. app or website for EV charging friendly hotels

I'm a little confused - I'm looking at Plugshare and there appears to be a bunch of hotels with at least wall outlets, plus there are a couple of fast chargers nearby. I mean I know it's not as nice as a 6+ kW level 2, but overnight on 120v should net you 30+ miles, and a quick stop at a DCFC...
  9. Future frunk button location?

The plastic tab is for the front camera washer nozzle.
  10. Sync 4A for Mach-E GT shows cosmetic upgrades coming and frunk opening via screen

Maybe the person you're opening it for has their hands full? Maybe you want the trunk to be open ASAP as the other person is approaching the car? Same reason for the kick to open trunk - if your hands are full. I've used it dozens of times in the C-Max Energi before, and expect to do the same...
  11. Sync 4A for Mach-E GT shows cosmetic upgrades coming and frunk opening via screen

Well, there's at least some sort of electrical capability to open the frunk, since that's how the 12v emergency frunk opening works.
  12. Sync 4A for Mach-E GT shows cosmetic upgrades coming and frunk opening via screen

Oh! Also, the volume meter is a horizontal strip, sitting about a quarter of the way from the top of the screen, rather than the vertical bar we have now.
  13. Sync 4A for Mach-E GT shows cosmetic upgrades coming and frunk opening via screen

Looks like there's an 'X' where the car icon is to bring down the settings. I don't recall anything else at the moment :(
  14. Sync 4A for Mach-E GT shows cosmetic upgrades coming and frunk opening via screen

Took pictures of bezel diagnostics of the GT. Stupidly, I forgot to look at the Sync version 😤. Looks like some cosmetic upgrades coming, plus the ability to open the frunk from the screen.
  15. Does Park Assist actually work for people?

I use it relatively often, and it works about 95% of the time. I usually use the parallel parking portion, but the pull out and perpendicular parking features have worked without fail for me when I've tried them.
  16. Stranded due to a dead 12 V

To test @Maquis theory of the brake pedal issue, try starting the car with FordPass, then press the power button in the car. Starting the car this way doesn't require you to press the brake to turn it on to drive away.
  17. [Update made it home] Stranded. PaaK and password wiped: "All Phone As A Key access and Backup Start Passcodes were removed..."

It's because Ford has to authenticate the person who programs the key, so not any Joe Schmoe is able to add an additional fob to your car. Believe me - I've tried. I actually paid for the Ford FDRS software license plus additional hardware to program the car's modules. If you're not a dealer, it...
  18. Hilarious PaaK misadventure

You're not supposed to roll it down for the first couple of days after you get the tint installed - it's supposed to cure first. Tint is installed with a soapy solution applied to the glass to help the tint film adhere to the glass. This soapy solution is squeegeed out of the film, but the...
  19. [Updated with lane change assist video] Something I didn't know about the Mustang Mach-E until I owned it!

I'd like to echo the fact that while I'm highly skeptical of the OP's claims of the lane-change assist feature, calling her a troll (without proof of her intentions) does NOT help. No need to get personal here.
  20. [Updated with lane change assist video] Something I didn't know about the Mustang Mach-E until I owned it!

I hate to be "that guy", but are you sure your car isn't just drifting between lanes, due to what @benk016 said about lane-keep assist being temporarily disabled when the blinker is activated? EDIT: Ninja'd by @Mirak
