FordPass never worked for me, probably because I'm in Canada. While it may be easy, getting it to work in all situations may not be a priority for Ford. In addition, it kept crashing the Electrify Canada chargers until I got an EC tech to turn off the connection to FordPass.
The liftgate OTA was not a numbered one, it was a "Priority Update". I don't think things necessarily come in order, especially the Priority Updates.
