More Mach-E GT 1/4 mile track results

The best time we've seen from a standard GT yet is 3.73 0-60, so no issues there is seems. On page 15 of this thread.

More Mach-E GT 1/4 mile track results

Well going off of Bronco and Raptor reviews from earlier this year, a steady stream of reviews have continued to come out after the initial wave of driving impressions from the main media event released. It would be safe to assume that is when Ford lifts their embargos and its free reign for...

More Mach-E GT 1/4 mile track results

The best result we've seen yet. Nice work! I think its pretty safe to say at this point that the car is capable of delivering on its promised 0-60 times. At least we have some good news here.

More Mach-E GT 1/4 mile track results

The focus is on the media drive because the review embargo will be lifted shortly after it. See the new Raptor for the latest example. That Bronco event in 2020 was only ride alongs. Driving impressions didn't come out until earlier this year, shortly after deliveries began and an actual media...

More Mach-E GT 1/4 mile track results

Lol true, but at least we can stop speculating about whether or not Ford will make any changes after that. They’re not going to let the professionals drive the car and write hundreds of articles about it unless they’re satisfied with the performance they’re getting out of it.

More Mach-E GT 1/4 mile track results

The standard GT is outperforming it’s quoted 3.8 0-60 (with rollout obviously). We still don’t have a huge set of data but I’m not worried about the 0-60 for either model. There’s really nothing we can do now but wait until the media drives in October to see if changes are made to the top end.

My GT Performance Edition (GTPE) first track launch with videos, timeslip! 0-60 in 4.12s, 1/4 mile in 12.567 @ 100.02 mph

Honestly, that is probably too quick for a good amount of the general public to handle, based on the types of drivers I see every day.

    Iconic Silver discontinued?

Wait I have an iconic silver GT scheduled for production in 2 weeks. Does that mean I’m going to have to chance colors?? How did this work for anyone who was in this situation with an Infinite Blue car?

GT Mach-E ordering starts next week - 4/28! Who's ordering?

I would recommend you call Ford's customer support and move your other two vehicle reservations to a new dealer after that BS. Anyways, enjoy the new car!

    Blue Cruise Quick Review

So it never disengaged itself or prompted you to put your hands back on the wheels while on curves?

My GT Performance Edition (GTPE) first track launch with videos, timeslip! 0-60 in 4.12s, 1/4 mile in 12.567 @ 100.02 mph

Ford hasn’t been developing the GT and GTPE for 6 years. Those two models were late additions to the lineup after the decision was made to rework the vehicle from a generic compliance EV into a Mustang. I’m willing to cut them a little slack on that. But if these issues aren’t fixed on all...

My GT Performance Edition (GTPE) first track launch with videos, timeslip! 0-60 in 4.12s, 1/4 mile in 12.567 @ 100.02 mph

Well that all but confirms that they know about the performance issues and are (hopefully) fixing them before they let the media get their hands on the cars.

To me it looks like he’s approaching a curve when he hits 75 mph and is slowing down for that. You can see just a small glimpse of the road in that shot.

My GT Performance Edition (GTPE) first track launch with videos, timeslip! 0-60 in 4.12s, 1/4 mile in 12.567 @ 100.02 mph

I appreciate the optimism but this isn’t an ICE car. You can’t modify the engine to get extra power easily. On an EV you’re limited to swapping wheels/tires, getting software updates, or gutting the interior of the car to make it faster.

My GT Performance Edition (GTPE) first track launch with videos, timeslip! 0-60 in 4.12s, 1/4 mile in 12.567 @ 100.02 mph

I would be inclined to agree. The performance up to the 1/8th mile looks close enough to be considered competitive with it, but after that it really falls off fast. I know the standard Mach-E also falls off on the top end vs. an equivalent Tesla, but I was expecting that cliff to be north of 100...

Well a second test vehicle is always appreciated. Looks like that is just how Ford has programmed the car’s performance. I guess the question now is whether or not Ford will address it or are they content to leave it that way.
