I don’t use much daily range, so I am planning to mostly rely on Level 1. How ever I saw a study that showed level 1 charging may have degraded battery slightly faster than level 2.
Anyone aware of level 1 being better or worse than level 2? (I’m aware that level 3 is worst for battery health...
We may be in luck - the performance will improve as the windshield and glass roof are ejected at speed. This will reduce a lot of weight!
I have the same annoyance with GTPE, but not with initial delay.
Strangely the GTPE is significantly faster at the 60 foot mark (as low as about 1.84 in our little casual sample group), but somehow the MYP seem to hit 60 MPH faster even in the hands of casual users.
So it’s just past 60’...
Maybe get a security camera.
Could easily have been left unlocked, but be aware of the pitfalls of keyless tech.
There are thieves with repeaters and other devices that can amplify your fob signal to they can unlock the door even when you are a significant distance away. If you are worried...
Anyone have info on cost and availability of the special GTPE pirellis?
my past experience with pirellis on a daily driver is that they lay more eggs than a hen house… lots of bulges in the sidewalls.
then they can be somewhat expensive and harder to find when it’s time to replace them.
GTPE interior has been polarizing, look at interior videos if you care about interiors.
maybe different color options.
Pirelli tires on PE - not necessarily an advantage because they might not be as durable or practical as standard tires.
yet to be proven that there’s really...
Agreed. The lower trim taycans look like great cars, but their performance isnt all that remarkable.
the taycan turbo and turbo s are amazing performers and have slick styling, but you will pay close to $200k
Maybe we’re inevitably going to see compromises under $100k. At least for a few...
the OP’s GT had one run that was even faster initially then slower to the 1/4, strangely.
Maybe there’s not really much difference from GT to GTPE on a straight line. looks like a lot of untapped potential here.
looks like both cars are dropping off even at 30-40 mph at a greater magnitude...
What you’re saying could explain the trend in the tape.
Great 1.865 on 60’, But 5.137 at 330, which is not as quick as I’d expect from that 60’.
indicates it’s dropping off even by 30-40 mph.
Seems early to me to lose the rate of acceleration, but would match what you are saying.
I think the problem starts even earlier than 60+ mph.
Tape shows Standard GT 1.865 on 60’ - I think that’s the best time we’ve seen yet, and very strong by any standard.
But 5.137 at 330, which is not as quick as that 60’ would suggest.
So the vehicle has major potential, but the rate of...
thank you for the info!
I think 1.865 60’ time is really good, especially if it’s while the car is throwing engine codes.
sounds like throttling with brake is the trick for launching, but it still drops off a cliff at highway speeds
I can’t recall if this actually beats the GTPE 60’ times...
thank you for your bravery! This forum is a tough crowd.
Have you tried the launch method of 1PD off, holding brakes while pressing accelerator, then releasing brakes and jamming accelerator for launch?
At least I think that’s an optimal launch method for EVs.
and have you tried in...
