Back before the GT details were removed from the Compare Models tab on the official page, it showed the panoramic roof as “O” (optional) for the GT. Hopefully, that won’t be changed when the final options and packages are released.
Well, the credit still helps in that you won’t be as severely underpaid at the end of the year. The point is still valid that the tax credit can have a benefit throughout the year (without having to wait a year for any benefit) if you properly estimate liability and what should be withheld.
Although, as some have pointed out on other threads, you could adjust your payroll tax withholding to account for your expected lower tax liability. That will help you with at least that first year of payments.
Up to $100 can be charged. This is what it says on the Ford page:
24. Can I be charged a “document fee” (doc fee) by my dealer?Yes. Dealers will be permitted to assess up to $100 in documentary fees on each delivery to an eligible purchaser under the terms of the Plan, unless otherwise provided...
Meanwhile, VW has released pictures of the ID4 dash:
It's interesting that this article ends with a note that it won't be available in the US until production in TN starts in 2022. That's not what was previously speculated.
But at least initially that’s what Ford said would be the case, and I haven’t seen otherwise yet. Ford has indicated that the late summer batch of GTs is part of the 50K of MY2021 MMEs.
In fact, we don’t know that they will be delivering GTs 3-4 months after that. If they continue with limited...
Not to nitpick, but that statement really seems to more confirm that Ford won’t build more than 50k units than that all 50k units are sold and spoken for.
Maybe they are, but that really just addresses that Ford only has batteries for 50k and won’t run crews to build more than that.
I expect that the vast majority of buyers will be able to have the benefit of the tax credit. For those of us who can, yes, the tax credit does matter as it does affect my price of the vehicle (in fact, Tesla used to build it into their website pricing along with the “gas savings” before they...
Much on that elsewhere on this forum but, no, I don’t see how ‘21 GTs are realistically under any threat to not have the full tax credit.
However, I agree in your response that there should be no harm in pursuing the FE without giving up the GT reservation yet.
