  1. Harnessing Mach-e power for home outage?

the 2016 model S is rated at 2.5kw, it does seem like a nice number to have some flexibility (and be sure the battery would not get depleted)
  2. Ford Launches Mach-E Live Immersion Four-Part Web Series (Behind the Scenes and Q&A)

Never received the email either. I registred on ford.ca (or was it ford.com?) to receive news about the mach e and i have a reservation. I did look in my spam. IMO, they are not notifying enough people (and for some news, why are they sending stuff to ford UK and not every ford? I believe a lot...
  3. Harnessing Mach-e power for home outage?

My goal would be in emergency situation (heating the house in winter, or water heater). An inverter would be more than enough for my specific situation, but i'm wondering how strong is the DC/DC converter in the car 1kw? 2kw? 🤔
  4. Ford Launches Mach-E Live Immersion Four-Part Web Series (Behind the Scenes and Q&A)

Yeah, it might be disappointing, but they did say the first "show" was about designing the new mustang. I doubt we will learn any new spec in that part. The next one might be better 🧐
  5. Ford Launches Mach-E Live Immersion Four-Part Web Series (Behind the Scenes and Q&A)

there's some typo : "Ford says they ..."
  6. Update on Mach-E launch progress from engineering friends in Mexico

Canada?! :D ... when did you order ?
  7. 2021 Mach-E Mustang Online Buying Process Detailed

If you say your car is in top shape, they will give you an amount (probably a little bit on the low side), including, in small text, "Subject to our estimation in person" If you say your as major defect, they might give a very small amount, like the actual value if i sent it to the scrapyard...
  8. 2021 Mach-E Mustang Online Buying Process Detailed

That's great news, but i'm wondering if it's only for the USA or if other country (let's say Canada) would work that way too ... And as @dbsb3233 said, what if the dealer hijacked our order ? I expect a lot of dealer to don't tell the customer this method of ordering exists to be able to push...
  9. Our self-driving future: Unanticipated consequences of vehicle automation, robots, and "semi-autonomy"

Sure, my current car (jeep, 2015) never said they were fully automated, but i had to desactivate the "forward collision braking" because it was obviously not ready yet. When a car turn right, you know you don't have to break because the path will be clear in a second, but the car doesn't and he...
  10. A glimpse of the 360° view - short video

If the side cameras are looking down and not away from the vehicule like the mirror. It seems to me like it would be way more dangerous. You don't see if a car in the other lane is driving faster and about to "reach" you (sorry for my bad english), or might not be able to see a motorcycle...
  11. Update on Mach-E launch progress from engineering friends in Mexico

Ohh, i'm realistic, i'm not expecting it in 2020! ... i'm hoping for somewhere in july-august, but i'm afraid it could be in 2022 😰
  12. Update on Mach-E launch progress from engineering friends in Mexico

Hmm, if the premium is that popular compared to select, maybe i will be able to have my select way faster than expected ! 🤗
  13. Mach-E First Edition Ride Along Review and Q&A from Site Member/Enthusiast

I hate the fact that we cannot check directly with ford our order status ... I don't trust my dealer. I feel like i must trust my dealer and i'm stuck with them. (And of course, we cannot check every day to see if we finally got a VIN :( )
  14. Update on Mach-E launch progress from engineering friends in Mexico

Hmmm, ceramic coating being hydrophobic, do any of you ever tested that on the rear camera ? I'm wondering if it could be THE solution to have a clean rear camera in the winter ... if you don't know what it look like in quebec 😰:
  15. First glimpse of Active Park Assist

On the left, we see 3 mode : 360 view, 180 view, back view. But what is the toggle button on the right ? Looks like a P and ... and atenna? Could it be to activate the radar or something like that? But overall, look nice!
  16. Ford Announces RWD WLTP Range Increase, Norwegian Orders Starting September 17th

But it won't be approved for roof load, it would void the warranty, no? I think an after market hitch would be safer
  17. Ford Announces RWD WLTP Range Increase, Norwegian Orders Starting September 17th

So ... no roof rack, and in NA, no hitch ? ... Well, anyway, not sure i would use the car to move a bike around anyway. But that "ski hatch" thing seem interesting !
  18. Update on Mach-E launch progress from engineering friends in Mexico

That's a little bit how i see it, and the demo would not be the year the customer would get, which means there will be a few update here and there. Being the first BEV, i'm expecting a lot of fixes between this model and the next year.
  19. Update on Mach-E launch progress from engineering friends in Mexico

If you have no car to sell, why bothering with demo? Either they don't have enough "firm order" to be sold out, or they are hoping to use the demo to sell the 2022 version 🤔
  20. Update on Mach-E launch progress from engineering friends in Mexico

Good to know, but still, if 50% of the 2022 are already gone, it mean I might have to wait a very long time, since I've ordered very late in the process ... Unless every dealer has a specific number of cars assigned to them, and mine still has some room 🤔
