PSA - DO NOT UPDATE to 3.35.0 on Android if using PaaK without a FOB

As I was reading this thread yesterday my Android 8.0 did an auto-update and the new FP came rolling down on me. It would seem that the version of Android is not a significant variable factor as my phone is at least 5 years old. (Yeah, I'm still infatuated with this particular device)...

Inno 466 Cargo Box + Seasucker Mounts + Seasucker Monkey Bar Roof Rack installed on Mach-E

I did a "Fit my car" on the Thule website for the MME. The following rack system came up, which is exactly what I have currently owned since 2017 with my Fusion Energi. It's a window-sill based mounting bracket. I then attempted to attach it to my MME and it appears to be solid and ready for...

Inno 466 Cargo Box + Seasucker Mounts + Seasucker Monkey Bar Roof Rack installed on Mach-E

Is there a reason that a Thule roof system with door-sill-based rack-clamps wouldn't work on the MME? I have used this setup for 5 years on a PHEV Fusion Energi without an issue. It does reduce MPG a great deal, and I expect the Seasucker system will also significantly reduce the m/kWh as well.

    FordPass 3.33.0 is out

I was having these results as you described before the update on Android for a few days. After an Android app update this afternoon all this nonsense reverted back to working as expected. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

    Top 3 annoyances

I found that if you have PaaK available to the car when it is started the sound controls will be in the same position as the last time that PaaK had set them. The fob on its own doesn't seem to have this capability. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

    Top 3 annoyances

I found if you complete your personal profile and have your PaaK available at the car, the sound settings will remain/revert to what you last left them as. This becomes part of your personal profile along with many other settings. The fob alone didn't seem to work this way.

My GOM is very optimistic this morning!

Today was not a typical day of driving for me. So far, lacking a long destination, I seem to only need a charge once a week or so for my normal activities on my home Level 2 50amp line using the supplied Ford Mobile EVSE. Would a top-off to 100% every 7 or 8 days make any difference in...

My GOM is very optimistic this morning!

So today I traveled 118 actual ground miles (from Google Maps), but consumed 145 range miles (56% SoC at end) with a combination of 70% highway and 30% city/suburban. The differential of 27 miles is almost the same as the "extra" range that was reported at 100% SoC this morning. I guess it all...

    It happened last night.

" I used one of those plug in battery checkers and had green led and good numbers. Saw that on this forum and immediately ordered one, great idea by the way. " Please provide more info on this please, or post a link to the forum article if you can. Thanks.

    The economics of One-Pedal-Driving

I guess I had it backwards. OPD is about power regeneration and not much about braking. Theoretically, you could implement OPD in an ICE vehicle for convenience, but it would have little benefit aside from my reference to driving in snow, for example. Thanks for the responses.

    The economics of One-Pedal-Driving

I've been training myself on the use of OPD (One-Pedal-Driving) for about a week. I am fairly adapted to using it now and anticipate it will be fine augmentation to eAWD in snowy conditions. I wonder, though, if there is a long term soft cost to taking the burden off the braking system and...

    Phone Call Not Ending Correctly

There appears to definitely be a bug in phone call handling in the car interface. I recall this condition to the point where ALL audio output was inhibited (USB Music, Android Auto App music, etc.) While those audio functions appeared to be operational with time and progress bars in a...

Anyone find a phone mount for the Mach-E dashboard?

This absolutely works for me. The Weathertech device provides for a secure and versitile mounting point. I must use a USB cable for Android Auto to work due to my current Android version level, so having it down below is necessary anyway in my case and my phone is always charging. I use a FitBit...
