Update on Mach-E launch progress from engineering friends in Mexico

I think there would be a public outcry every time a date changed or was missed, creating a pr nightmare. Honestly, I would prefer a JIT date that is firm and a little reminder every know and then if gross schedule changes occur or confirmation nothing has changed. One of the huge downsides of...

    Everybody needs more LIDAR

I'll agree to that. Here in Seattle the first "failure" of our Camry was when enough mist collected to obscure the front sensors. This set off a cascade of disabling adaptive cruise control and all forward collision prevention features at highway speed. Lots of lights illuminated and chimes...

Mach-E 4x (Star White / Gray Interior) sighted at Phoenix dealership, with a look at range figures

Uh, I wasn't comparing the MME to the Fiesta. That would definitely be apples and oranges. I was simply saying that in 13 years the only car I did a brake job on was an ICE. Sorry for the confusion.

Mach-E 4x (Star White / Gray Interior) sighted at Phoenix dealership, with a look at range figures

Sounds like an accord i had. The dealer and i cane to an arrangement after the third set. I paid labor, he covered parts for the the next three til I dumped the car.

Mach-E 4x (Star White / Gray Interior) sighted at Phoenix dealership, with a look at range figures

Absolutely. Five cars, one brake job in the past 13 years on a 2012 Fiesta. Hybrids and EV’s - 0. Total miles 466,000.

Mach-E 4x (Star White / Gray Interior) sighted at Phoenix dealership, with a look at range figures

True. But based on reactions today and yesterday, I think the odds are in their favor.

Mach-E 4x (Star White / Gray Interior) sighted at Phoenix dealership, with a look at range figures

Agree that social isn’t all it’s cracked up to be. But taking a different view, maybe they know we’re sold already and building more awareness and buzz with others? Social marketing has been a big push from the start with this launch. Don’t see that changing anytime soon.

Ford Launches Mach-E U.S. Road Tour [Register Inside]

Same question. If you look at the photos from EU, a lot of the Premiums do have them as well. Pre-production anomalies?

Todays Events 10-20-2020: Red Bank, NJ and Redwood City, CA!

Beware it might interfere with front facing radar. I wanted to do the same thing on my car but the parking sensors didn't like it.

Production runs & line output guesstimates

You realize some of us are approaching waiting for a year already since we reserved ours, (he says with a smile)?

    iPhone MagSafe compatibility?

When I made a similar comment to the Jaguar dealer, in addition to it showing finger prints, I was told a Micro Fiber cloth would take care of that. Right...

    Ford Range Increase Coming?

The thermal management system on EV's can both warm and cool the battery as needed. In fact Bolt documentation warns you that the A/C can turn on even with the car off if the battery thinks it needs cooling. But realize that warming and cooling the battery uses range as well because you're...

    Ford Range Increase Coming?

Absolutely. I routinely drive my car to the grocery store and have a little more range when I return from shopping relative to when I left the car in the parking lot. Sometimes I even use no net range on the trip (I live close by). Your range prediction is also heavily dependent on immediate...

That's where they put the 12V battery? Now I'm really hoping it is long lived. That seems like it would be a bear to change out.

Is the Mach-e really in the same market as the 3 or the Y?

It also feels weird that they tout it as having off-road capabilities. I never saw myself forging a stream in that car.

Is the Mach-e really in the same market as the 3 or the Y?

I completely agree!! I spent a lot of time initially in that mode and was trying to determine if they had the same roots given previous Jaguar ownership. While I haven't been in the MME yet, on the luxury and appointment scale it feels like the I-Pace has the advantage. I've been in the...
