Will this improve the ride? More cushion for the...

You mentioned going down to 18” made the ride quieter. I’m looking for soften the tire noise on highways (Mach-E is quiet on city streets under 55mph though). Maybe just a different tire like Pirellis would help?

Stunning How Ford Dealers are sabotaging the success of the brand....

The whole Tesla ordering system is a mess because you can "skip" over others by ordering premium/performance trims. Model Y Performance cars ($63K base) were delivering 4-8 weeks but Model Y Long Range (was $49K now $58K) were 8+ months. The same with Model 3 Performance (4-6 weeks) over Model...

    Florida dealer reviews

Had great buying experience with Sun State Ford in Orlando. Did not want to wait 8 months so I picked up a Premium RWD. My orders are with different Mullinax dealers in Orlando and both have been great explaining the process and submitting the order to Ford.

Ugly truth about Mach E - dealerships don’t know how to fix or troubleshoot them

This does sound like a buyback candidate with the list of problems. 30 days in the shop could be lemon-ed in most states but I don't think manufacturers prefer that over buyback.

Tires with less road noise (Premium trim)

On good/decent roads like city streets, it's barely noisier (minimal)... but I started noticing it going 75mph on toll/interstate roads that were not smooth. I'd driven the same route on the ID.4 and MME multiple times (to Disneyworld basically). I don't know exactly what it is... maybe the MME...

Will we ever get sentry mode equivalent? Does anyone have a good reason why not?

Sentry is a giant battery drain. I recall it was 1% a day for me or about 1 kW according to TeslaFi monitoring. I'm loosely estimating. I had to disable on certain locations (like home and office). Sentry is cool and all but Mach-E needs an integrated dashcam/cam recording system. I'd like all...

Tires with less road noise (Premium trim)

The only way to avoid poor roads is to simply not drive it :) Anyhow, I don't think the OEM tires are EV specific. When they wear out I will swap them with Michelin Pilot EVs or the suggestion above...

Stunning How Ford Dealers are sabotaging the success of the brand....

That's anecdote evidence. I bought a Mach-E Premium (not Select) with no markup two weeks ago. See, why can't everybody else do that? I'm trying to get a RAV4 Prime as a second car and these dealers are a pain. $5K markup minimum. If any lower they are adding $2K-$3K in add-ons and have a $900...

    Another ID.4 vs Mach-E thread

I didn't ask the driver/engineer. I also promised not to post photos of his car. He wasn't looking for attention. It's either an OTA change (German cars will get it) ornew US-built battery pack (SK innovation) that somebody else speculated. Who knows.

    Another ID.4 vs Mach-E thread

FYI with 1PD active... this setting does nothing or it does it not noticeable. I drove 200 miles today in stop and go traffic (ugh... Thanksgiving) turning the setting off and on - and yesterday I tried it in a empty downtown office garage on an incline. I can hear and feel the parking brake...

    Another ID.4 vs Mach-E thread

It does. I think the compressor is working overtime to cool the batteries. Other EV techs have mentioned that it is a good cooling design (now with the battery coolant pump problem.. it might not be reliable but that's a different problem) Another data point that is even more impressive. ID.4...

    Another ID.4 vs Mach-E thread

Saw a US-built pre-production ID.4 at an EA charger today (free Thanksgiving charging weekend and all). Had manufacturer plates but looked like a production model. Spoke the driver and watched him charge. At 80% SoC the US-built ID.4 was accepting 90 kW!!!! I was watching the EA station in awe...

Tires with less road noise (Premium trim)

Serious. I will bring a H4N recorder on my next drive and see if I can measure the decibels after the fact. Because I recently owned an ID.4 and Model Y (both of which I've driven on the same toll and interstates) I have direct and recent and first hand comparisons to make. My Premium OEM...

Tires with less road noise (Premium trim)

It's not wind noise. It's underneath the floorboard noise. I can hear the tires. It goes away on smooth surfaces. The ID.4 and Model Y were quiet. The Model Y had a bit more wind noise. I already noticed this tire noise driving on local streets but it is high speed it's more than audible...

Tires with less road noise (Premium trim)

Just thinking ahead. When I replace the OEM Premium tires, what set of tires are less noisy? I took my first long-ish trip today and over rough highway the road noise was deafening. I noticed the noisiness on shorter trips but at slower speeds the volume of it was acceptable.

    Another ID.4 vs Mach-E thread

Superchargers have very short cables (and thinner than the giant EA cables) and expect the car to have the port on the driver’s side rear (except for the side mounted chargers). It’s so short you often to have fully back into the parking spot until the wheels touch the concrete block. This...

Everyday Driver: Mach-E vs. ID.4 vs. Model Y comparison video

I agree with all points having owned all three... plenty of it is preferences. This quote is dead on about the "not as fine-tuned" braking of the Mach-E The 1PD of the Mach-E is a bit rough because of how they implemented auto-hold + parking. This and the so call "Premium" seats are my only...

    Another ID.4 vs Mach-E thread

All modern EVs do not allow you to drive with the cable connected. Maybe some older ones do? Both the ID.4 and Mach-E have the port on the wrong side for (non-side facing) Superchargers also. When Superchargers open up in Europe, these two cars might not be allowed.

Help me decide: Mach-E or Model Y

From what I've heard Pro S RWD fetches $42K in trades. As for the MME... I call it a Model 3 with an SUV butt. Folks hate this.. but it's true. It handles like the Model 3 (at least the RWD smaller battery variant) which is not true of the Model Y. The extended battery MME version was a tad...

Help me decide: Mach-E or Model Y

ID.4 Pro (lowest trim - base RWD) and I traded it directly to Tesla (who sent it to auction). CarMax, Vroom, Carvana, etc. offered $2K more but in FL there is tax savings with trade ins. I got $37K which was slightly over break even after taxes/fees/EV-credit. The used car market is insane...
