Customer Satisfaction Program 21P22 - Software Calibration Update

It’s extremely hard to follow what you are complaining about to be honest, I’m assuming English isn’t your first language. I’m not trying to be insulting by saying that either, it’s just difficult to follow the point you’re trying to make here.. the MME will DCFC to 100% of the usable battery...

Adding a decent subwoofer and amp to Mach-E

Thanks, I really appreciate the insight. You’re right… If I don’t install it while taking apart the trim panels to pull the power cable etc. I won’t ever do it, so yeah, I will include from the start! Better to have the flexibility than wish I had it later.

1 in 5 electric vehicle owners in California switched back to gas

This article is formatted as clickbait… a better title would be “80% of electric vehicle owners do not go back to ICE after their first EV purchase” or something to that effect. Because that is really what the data is showing. Even if they are spinning it to make it seem like “charging is so...

Adding a decent subwoofer and amp to Mach-E

@markboris awesome write up! It looks like you really know your stuff here. Do you have any concerns with the low voltage battery? I see a lot of threads (at least older ones) with 12V battery drain issues. I was thinking the added draw could be a concern, but from your experience after install...

Getting the right Tesla to J1722 adapter for trips

50A is not enough margin for sustained charging i.e. charging over night at a hotel. The 50A rating is for instantaneous peak load rating. It would be ok for an hour or two max then begin to overheat. 48A sustained current (more than 2-3hrs is considered sustained) would require 20% margin on...

Added a black bar / blackout wrap to tail rear and waiting for spoiler

@Mach Daddy I love it, it fixes the only issue I had with the Mach-E tail lights, that black bar that extends in. It’s why I wanted the shadow black color. With the wrap it makes any color look perfect. Good work!

Glass Roof and Windshield Recall (too early)

They could, and did sell it, to me lol. I did ask about a deposit but they didn’t want to go that route, and I don’t blame them. It was only available on the market for less than a day when I bought it, I have no doubt it would have sold to someone else whether I put a deposit on it or not. It’s...

Glass Roof and Windshield Recall (too early)

Because I don’t want to be sitting on this forum waiting for 12+ months waiting for my car to arrive lol. But I also have a time limit where they have agreed to buy back the car at full purchase price, if it’s not delivered by a certain date. I purchased it knowing they have to fix the recall...

Glass Roof and Windshield Recall (too early)

@Alai that was my main concern too. And it’s strange to be in this weird pergatory of ownership for the tax planning purposes. I think if you signed and they cashed your deposit check etc. in this year you would be ok to claim the purchase in this year, however I am most definitely not a tax...

GT Front Motor in Premium 4X?

Yeah agree. I just don’t think really any of those things mentioned sounded all that difficult to me (different harnesses, adding or replacing a ecu, couple of bolts and plumbing connections). Everything appears to be modular from Monro’s tear down so I feel like it’s not as bad as people are...

Glass Roof and Windshield Recall (too early)

I did the exact same thing and bought a 21 floor model. Dealer wasn’t kind enough to tell me until I was signing the papers and luring me 4hrs from my home after I called to confirm the car was available to drive home that day…. But I digress. Long story short I don’t believe we are able to get...

GT Front Motor in Premium 4X?

Questionable with ADMU and lead times, but you’re right. I’m more interested in the possibility of a performance modification culture similar to the ICE counterpart. Right now it seems that most people here or any EV owner forum are only looking into paint protection films and the like, my...

GT Front Motor in Premium 4X?

I’m not sure if Ford dealership would do a motor/engine swap on any vehicle let alone retain the original warranty. At best they would offer a workmanship warranty for the work itself up to about a year, same as any other 3rd party. Personally I would feel better having a shop that specializes...

GT Front Motor in Premium 4X?

I sure hope there would be compatability considering they already put it on one variant of the MME… it’s the GT/GTPE front motor which is the only real difference between P4X and GT drive train. Not sure if traction inverter would be the same but control system should be aside from a software...

GT Front Motor in Premium 4X?

Came across this today, does anyone have any idea what kind of work would be involved to get this motor in a P4X? https://performanceparts.ford.com/part/M-9000-MACHE Ford Performance Parts is proud to offer the Eluminator!!! This electric motor is from the 2021 Mustang Mach E GT. Peak...

Thread for people who haven't gotten their Mach-E's yet to be grumpy in

No luck yet on my car getting delivered yet. Trying hard not to piss off my dealer by calling every 5 mins to check wether the recall work was finished or not…. I’m really hoping it’s finished tomorrow, but they were figuring out if they can schedule the work with body shop/glass company.

    What Are You Hauling?

Yeah mine worked for about 6-7 months. I had issues with it about every other week during the time it did work. Install wasn’t too bad, it’s pretty straight forward, but just poor quality products for ridiculous price. Should be priced $200 max or work perfectly for a very long time.

    What Are You Hauling?

Mighty mule gates are awful - and ridiculously expensive! I installed one with WiFi etc. cost me about $800. The WiFi never worked (>$100), so I returned it and bought $11 card off amazon that has worked flawlessly. I returned the solar and bought a $26 panel - again flawless. The gate itself...
