SOLVED - Ice Slippage / loss of traction wreaks havoc! Error messages keep popping up

So I wonder - can those of us (not me) with FDRS update capability reset our modules without a dealer trip? So we can do donuts and then run FDRS to clean up from our fun?

Fordpass Android power drain -maddenly inconsistent

So I reversed all the changes @DevSecOps recommended, except unlimited location services. It has been about a week now and no battery drain. Maybe I need a new phone? The Pixel 6 does look pretty awesome. So does the new Galaxy phones. Decisions...

Donuts / spinning in wet grass and losing traction broke my car🤦‍♂️

It could be the dealer applied the wrong update to the modules. There are members of this forum who did the module updates and lost driver aids, but they were able to get them back with the correct module update. I suggest you share the information at the following link with your dealer and...

AWD ER Winter Efficiency Quick Test. 28F, 72 MPH, 203 miles of Range.

Norm, what psi are your tires inflated to? Tire pressure can cause range to vary up to 10%, and cold weather drops tire pressure, so just curious if you are maintaining 40 psi.

    Hello all!

Trees is my favorite Rush track. Rush was my first concert! Moving Pictures tour. I love my GT and hated the wheels at first, but now I really, really like them. They look much better in person.

A new low. Cold weather round trip, 1.55 mi/kWh, Range of 138 Miles, Premium ER AWD.

This is what I was thinking as well. I normally set my climate to 67 on low fan and it is comfortable for me. I wonder how much better the trip efficiency would have been with it set at 67? By the way, I have compared the kWh used in FP EV Driving History to what is reported using Car Scanner...

Donuts / spinning in wet grass and losing traction broke my car🤦‍♂️

Maybe those errors are temporary and will go away. But it is very strange. I don't see why it should do that either.

    Have you been Coal Rolled?

Personally I find coal rolling to be hilarious. It is a giant middle finger to everyone who supports imposing their vision of utopia on others. But to be clear, I have never done it and would never do it myself. And it has not happened to me - yet. I think I would just zoom around them if they...

    NEMA 14-50 Home Challenges

I agree with the previous posts: verify you have a good ground connection, test your charger on another 240V outlet, and test your outlet with another charger (preferably another Ford one from the dealer). You might have a defective charger.

How much energy does a 120 wall plug draw when charging?

I remembered the NEC code incorrectly. You are right. “where a branch circuit supplies continuous loads or any combination of continuous and noncontinuous loads, the minimum branch-circuit conductor size, before the application of any adjustment or correction factors, shall have an allowable...

Fordpass Android power drain -maddenly inconsistent

Yes, been there, done that. At first I thought all my PaaK issues were resolved after implementing all the setting changes you suggested. It did work much better for a while, but then it started crapping out again. And random battery draining recurred. I can go 2, 3, 5 days with no issues and...

How much energy does a 120 wall plug draw when charging?

The NEC (National Electrical Code) provides safety standards for installing and wiring homes for electricity. The NEC specifies that outlets and wires need to be able to handle 120% of a continuous load expected for the system. So a 15 amp outlet is rated to handle up to 15 amps, but not...

How much energy does a 120 wall plug draw when charging?

This ^^^^ 100%. There is no way your car added 500 kWh to his bill.

    Consumer Preference for ICE

Yes, I agree. I was referring to 600 highway miles. You want 1000, but my point is 600 will be enough to resolve our charging infrastructure concerns.

BlueOval Charge Network Upgrade Available (to BlueOval Electrify America Membership)

McFly, it is the Ford charging network that utilizes the VIN, not EA. EA just charges based on your account.

Fordpass Android power drain -maddenly inconsistent

It happened to me just a couple days ago. So I stopped background running of the application. I have basically restricted the app to minimal background use, but yet it still does PaaK locking when I walk away. Whatever. I carry a fob now and I just don't want my battery to die on my phone...

BlueOval Charge Network Upgrade Available (to BlueOval Electrify America Membership)

I need to cancel my EA membership. They are charging me $4 a month and I still have a lot of free charging remaining.

    Consumer Preference for ICE

Yes, 240V at 15 amps is twice as fast as 120V at 15 amps. But a lot of 240V outlets in the EU are not rated for 15 amps, they are rated for less. And while it is faster, it is still very slow. I don't think there is that much difference. My point was that if everyone is driving an EV, and...
