  1. Can I use a 3-prong 240 volt plug with an adapter?

    My dryer is right next to my garage. The standard cable will reach my MME. But, the adapter is a 4-prong plug and my dryer outlet is a 3-prong plug. Can I get an adapter to convert the 3 to a 4-prong adapter? or do I need to have the plug rewired?
