  1. Warranty Repairs ludicrous - DON'T go to Galpin Ford!

Unfortunately I didn't know that going in. But there is a quite a difference between "not being able to handle" and delaying, stalling, and ultimately lying about things. In no way did they indicate it would take six weeks to accomplish.
  2. Warranty Repairs ludicrous - DON'T go to Galpin Ford!

...when I get the inevitable "How did we do?" survey, the only nice thing I can say is the service guy was polite...while he lied to me. Zeroes for everything else.
  3. Warranty Repairs ludicrous - DON'T go to Galpin Ford!

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: Delays and lies led to six weeks for a warranty repair that should've been a few days. ALL THE DEETS: So, for the second time, I had the dreaded High Voltage Battery Junction Box failure in my '22 AWD ER. The first time was within hours of picking it up on late September...
  4. NHTSA investigating 2022 Mach-E HVBJB recall (high voltage battery main contactors)

I just got it back, after it had been about six weeks since the problem occurred. They had it in their possession for about 3 weeks after I'd gotten it back after a week when they said they couldn't immediately work on it. The service adviser hemmed and hawed, BS'd about delays, and I think...
  5. NHTSA investigating 2022 Mach-E HVBJB recall (high voltage battery main contactors)

...now over 4 weeks, the HVBJB is known bad, and I've got about 8100 miles on it.
  6. NHTSA investigating 2022 Mach-E HVBJB recall (high voltage battery main contactors)

Dealer confirmed the part is bad, but they are short on battery lift/removal rig and techs to service the car. The problem occurred on July 30th, it is still at the dealership. Which reminds me - I called yesterday and they said they'd give me an update on ETA, after no response I texted around...
  7. NHTSA investigating 2022 Mach-E HVBJB recall (high voltage battery main contactors)

Fortunately just the Service Vehicle Soon so I was able to get to my destination, albeit with dramatically reduced power.
  8. '22 GTPE 3rd HVJB failure in less than a year -Update-

After they'd done nothing for 5 days, I got the car back, but then more bad things happened: https://www.macheforum.com/site/threads/software-update-clears-service-vehicle-soon-alert-but-should-not.30142/#post-682141
  9. Software update clears Service Vehicle Soon alert but SHOULD NOT

...but the circumstances are driving in extreme circumstances - driving over the mountains in extreme heat is NOT where you want to get stranded!!!
  10. Software update clears Service Vehicle Soon alert but SHOULD NOT

So I got the dreaded Service Vehicle Soon alert, as well as All Wheel Drive fault while driving up the Grapevine (steep long overpass) on a very hot day a few weeks ago. Sigh. OK. Second time this has happened on my supposedly post-factory-fix vehicle. (Delivered Sept '22). I get delays and...
  11. NHTSA investigating 2022 Mach-E HVBJB recall (high voltage battery main contactors)

I'm currently waiting on my THIRD HVBJB on a '22 Premium AWD ER picked up in Sept '22, meaning it should definitely have the "fixed" part. The original failed the first day, then a second installed which lasted less than a year, and I'm awaiting installation of a third one. This is so clearly an...
  12. '22 GTPE 3rd HVJB failure in less than a year -Update-

Thanks for that info. Galpin has confirmed it is a bad HVBJB, they can get the parts no problem, the limit is the special lift to drop the battery pack and the techs to service the car. I was told Ford will cover a maximum of 10 days of rental car for warranty repair, and I was told to call Ford...
  13. '22 GTPE 3rd HVJB failure in less than a year -Update-

SVS - what is SSN? Update - After 5 days with no news, I checked in the with Galpin Ford, who THEN shared, for the first time, that there were a dozen vehicles ahead of mine for electrical service. Also new was that if it were a warranty repair, Ford would cover at most 10 days of rental car -...
  14. Road trip - LA/Carmel/LA - charging on weekends still bad

What are you, their lawyer? ;p OK - so Ford hired EA rather than invested in them. Ford hired EA to help Ford's customers. EA is falling down on the job, Ford should lean on them to provide better results. Other vendors are terrible too - Chargepoint is often only in the range of 60kW, less...
  15. HVBJB Problem - Galpin Ford doesn't have enough techs

So - my '22 ER AWD had a bad high voltage battery junction box on the day I picked it up. A week or two later, they had it fixed. OK. Now, less than a year later, I got the same kind of errors again last week - Powertrain Malfunction/Reduced Power and High Voltage Battery Warning (driving over...

  17. '22 GTPE 3rd HVJB failure in less than a year -Update-

I think I'm about to get my third: -#1: picked up my new '22 car Sept 28th, 2022 (well after the "fix" was implemented) -#2: got the HVBJB alert that SAME DAY I picked it up, it took a week or two to get it fixed/replaced -#3: got the alert driving over the Grapevine (high dessert pass) last...
  18. Would you pay for a BlueCruise Subscription?

I would consider paying for it IF IT WERE REASONABLE - when they price shot way up recently I thought that was a completely BS backstabbing of customers. If you tell us we have it for 3 years then it is $300/year after that, maybe. $800? Go to hell - that's bait and switch BS.
  19. Powertrain Malfunction and High Voltage Battery Warning

THIS. I got The Warning driving over a high pass in hot weather last weekend and just dropped off the car. It drives ok but has vastly reduced power, like half or less. The throttle seems the same the first 1/3 to 1/2 of travel, then just doesn't deliver any more power the rest of the way down...
